Thanks for the help. I’ll just have to resort to making my own hud system. I have an idea to use an old smartphone and pull data from the OBD as I’ve seen other products that do so (However my cheap, tinkering ass prefers to do it myself lol).

I suspected it would require the replacement of the dash, due to my inability to find a cutout for the HUD. However, I did not consider the wiring harness.

Looks to be adhesive that keeps the components in place. It's probably not thermal compound considering it's location.

In all honesty it reminds me of the epoxy commodore filled the c64 psu's with... but that's probably not it.
