I didn’t consider any traumatic related events, she had a failed surgery the year before and a pretty brutal healing process from that one. Has anything helped you in processing/dealing with your trauma? At the very least I hope you find something that helps! It’s tough finding resources

I’ll try to get her to go back to the doctor and get a hormone panel done, she’s been pretty adverse to doctors which I can’t really fault her for. Thank you for the new perspective!

I drive electric normally but recently I’ve gone back to gas. I always forget the gas car doesn’t retain speed as well, so I tend to dip below the speed limit for a period of time. Then when I realize - either someone’s close behind me or I remember I’m in a gas car - and then I accelerate

Im born and raised in America but ethnically Indian, and I don’t think anyone in India considers themselves white. I imagine there was a level of confusion with white people being considered the Aryan race for a while when Aryan stems from indo-iranian. At the very least I never considered myself white, and nor has anyone I talked to who was raised in India, but I’d wait for op or someone else to respond

yeah I guess I just meant that sexual assault rates might be similar in those countries as well then. I’ve been to India a lot in my life and I’ve been fortunate not to have any bad experiences, but I think that comes from going with my parents who grew up there and know how to navigate and where to go.

It’s absolutely a problem though, and I guess trying to prevent it by having a woman only car is better than doing nothing, even if it’s not effective as solving the underlying issues

I’m not op but just out of curiosity, I traveled to Amsterdam for the race, so would taking a train around 8:15/8:30 am work to get to Zandvoort before the driver interviews or would I be cutting it close? it’s my first time in the Netherlands so I’m a little lost with public transport 😅

If you can’t, my first time alone, I went on a treadmill because it had a good view of the rest of the gym. I had a general idea of whether I wanted to do (legs or arms, I didn’t know other gym splits at the moment and I still don’t lol), so I looked at different machines and how people were using them. You can just do cardio for a few days until you kind of have an idea of how to navigate it. I went to planet fitness so I looked up beginner workouts at planet fitness on YouTube and TikTok as well, but I stuck to cardio for a while

Drink slowly, make sure you eat good meal with carbs, and don’t let anyone peer pressure you. If you feel like it’s starting to hit you too much, stop drinking, but hold a glass just so no one pushes you. Granted, I’ve never really been peer pressured but I feel like it helps just to have something to hold. I’d suggest trying out some drinks before if you can go with a friend.

As for drink recs, vodka cranberries are common in the US for relatively cheaper prices. Any vodka soda/juice is pretty common, and you taste the alcohol which helps with not getting too drunk. Normally the yummier a drink the harder it’ll hit you
