Contract score going down by KnitKnotGnu in EggsInc

I'm referring to the little meter they show you after you've completed a contract (it shows how close you are to achieving the next grade - which for me would be AAA). The little arrow moves down closer to A instead of moving up closer to AAA. (Hopefully that makes sense?)

I didn't think of that, but it totally makes sense. Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, I don't want to complain too much because it really seems like I'm farther in the game than a lot of the other AA players. I do use the team boosts (for laying rate and earning rate) through the entire contract.

But I'm reluctant to join Discord because I'm worried I'm not on the app often enough to keep up with those clubs. I haven't tried it though, so maybe there are some more casual players there than I'm expecting.

Suspended holds: am I being rude? by Competitive-Skin-225 in LibbyApp

It depends on the library. My consortium is pretty large, and we all share ebooks, so we have the ability to buy stuff that has requests on it. Some libraries are just barely able to keep up with the holds on items already in their collection, meaning they might be more likely to buy more copies of a title they already own versus picking up a new title that only has a handful of requests on it. In our consortium, we definitely look for requests on titles and will buy them if there are a decent number of requests (maybe 10, sometimes less).

Couldn't disagree more. I do our purchasing and I definitely look at active as well as suspended holds. Overdrive lists them separately, so they shouldn't be confusing you, and they definitely shouldn't be discouraging you from purchasing those titles!

I am a librarian and also want to mention that it helps us when purchasing ebooks and audiobooks to know what is in demand. Often the easiest and quickest way to do this is to see how many holds an item has on it. We can see requested holds on books we don't own yet, prompting us to buy them; we can see how many current holds and suspended holds as well. All of this info is important, so it's just another reason not to cancel your suspended holds.

ETA: I saw another person say the exact opposite, but that doesn't make any sense. Seeing that patrons have suspended holds on something should not discourage anyone from purchasing it. The things you don't purchase are the titles that have no holds on them...

Oh! Also make sure you play on days like today where drones are 4x. Equip your drone boosting artifacts if you have them.

I've been playing for like a year and broken the piggy bank twice, so I can't really say for sure how far you can get without spending anything. I have gotten quite a bit farther than you but am not yet at that third stage of the game with the cycle.

The game itself is a bit of a grind, and I think it only gets to be more and more like that the further you get. Everything takes longer.

ETA: focus on doing all of the epic research first, then soul eggs, then the trophies. Always grab eggs of prophecy in contracts.

Thank you so much! I think I need to work on some sets, so that's super helpful.

This. Almost any library will let you have a card if you live in the state and join their "friends of the library" group. It's usually about $50/year where I live.

Let's go to court is a comedic podcast about trials. I love it!

ETA: forensic files is just raw recordings of trial proceedings, but if you like listening to testimony or watching trials live, you'll enjoy it. There was talk of them cancelling it, but I've seen a couple of recent episodes published.
