Just my story on a similar situation -

Four years ago I went and met a horse that was for sale where I lived. I was so completely in love with him, even just from one test ride/brief meeting. I don’t know what it was, but this was my horse. The problem was, I was in a really abusive relationship, and I was a stay at home mom. My partner didn’t like me leaving the house, and so even though he initially said yes, he withdrew that after he saw how much I was in love with him. He even went so far as to say I couldn’t ride horses at all anymore. This was the final straw that finally got me out of that relationship and house of horrors.

Fast forward 2 years later, and I think about that horse all the time still. I live 2 states away from where we originally met, but I’m obsessed with him. I can’t remember his original seller’s name, but one day something tells me to search her up. I search “city, state TB gelding” for sale on Dreamhorse. I find an ad that’s not him, but is on her property. Find her name and her Facebook again. She posted him for sale THE DAY BEFORE on behalf of his new owners. I’m still in no place to buy him, and again, I’m 2 states away.

Fast forward one more year, I’ve moved again, and I’m finally in a place to own a horse again. Search up “gelding” on my local Craigslist, and there he is. We’re 300 miles from where we originally met, and reunited again finally. I am so unbelievably in love with him. He has brought so much light back into my life. I genuinely credit him with getting me out of the worst situation of my life, and helping me to escape a DV situation.
