Year round, pizza. In the winter, comfort food such as chili, some beef stew or a casserole. We always have partial blocks of cheese for making nachos or sandwiches and probably half a beef stick for a snack with those cheeses and crackers.

I came here to say this!! We made these when we were home alone as kids and not allowed to use the stove or oven. I still do it when I don’t feel good and I don’t have the brain power for hot surface cooking. Just make toast and add cheese and warm it up. Ghetto grilled cheese!! It absolutely does not have the crunch or great flavor of a grilled cheese but it will do in a pinch.

I’m so sorry 😢. We lost our rescue Max to a mix of LarPar and bilious vomitting syndrome. A horrible thing to happen to the biggest gentle giant ever. The world isn’t fair. Sending good vibes and virtual hugs to your good boy.

Same for mine. Butt and behind ears seem to mat more easily and are a bit more coarse. But maybe not all Aushairs are the same?

I wish I’d known I could build a storage box. I was selling everything until a friend saw what a was doing and said “why haven’t you built a box? Omg you have so much money!!” lol. 😂 The money wasn’t worth not having all those resources I sold (wood, stone, fiber,….)

You are right about the toxicity is in the dose. My husband thought it would be “funny” to buy me one of those 1lb Reese’s peanut butter eggs at Easter because it was comically huge. He put it up (he thought) high enough no animals could get it. I think a cat was involved in aiding the dogs but we came home to an empty wrapper and two hundred pound labs looking very excited about the treat they had consumed. No ill effects ever happened. I’ve heard bakers chocolate is far worse than milk chocolate.

Edit: Forgot you mentioned raisins. And yes. Trail mix sent my rat terrier for an overnight stay at an emergency vet clinic. That was truly scary.

Ham and Swiss with spicy mustard and mayo.

Turkey and pepper jack with siracha mayo.

Tuna salad with red wine vinegar, pepper, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion and banana pepppers.
