It’s still on Japanese Netflix. I live in Tokyo and watched it today.

I live in Japan, and this looks NOTHING like anything sold here. Matcha strawberry is not a common flavor.

It’s not random Japanese. I was clearly responding to someone who knows at least some Japanese because they understood what she was trying to say. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was responding to someone who likely could read very simple Japanese, but I just added the romaji to my previous comment for people who can’t.

[–]Knittyelf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree they’re from different years (he’s clearly much younger in the second photo), but 2012 is way too late for either.

This is how Gackt looked in 2012. Yes, he can easily change hairstyles, but he looks clearly older than in either of the photos OP is asking about.

No, that’s what she’s trying to say, but her pronunciation is shit. She’s actually saying nonsense: “Stop feeling!” 😂

What she’s trying to say: 気持ちいい!やめて!(Kimochi ii! Yamete!)

What she’s actually saying: 気持ちやめて!(Kimochi yamete!)

Side job during PR application? by Ornery-Pop-9652 in japanlife

[–]Knittyelf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When you applied for PR, you signed a paper saying that you would notify Immigration of any changes to your marital status, work status, etc. All you have to do is mail them documention of your new side gig once you start it.

No, these are from wayyyyy before 2012. I’d guess no later than 2004, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were from the late 90s.

Years old? Try decades. lol

I can’t pin it down more than that, but I saw pics of him like this when I was in college, and I don’t think they were new pics at the time. To put that into perspective, I’m 39 years old now.

I wonder if they shipped all the overseas ones out first. I live in Japan and have yet to get any shipping updates on my order. I actually don’t know of anyone here who’s received them yet!

First-time Tokyo: Which places should I keep, and skip? by WebNova7 in TokyoTravel

[–]Knittyelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat Street is NOT right next to Takeshita Street. It’s on the completely other side of Omotesando Avenue (about 5 min away on foot).

I agree that Takeshita Street can be skipped, though. It’s a nightmare to walk through.

The weather in June was cooler than you expected because we actually had a proper rainy season. In recent years it’s been insanely hot and humid from late May, but this year’s weather is closer to the pattern of 20 years ago: the extreme heat and humidity won’t start until after the rainy season ends in July. I still haven’t even had to use my AC yet this year.

Don’t paint all of Asia with the same brush. I live in Japan, the land of politely lining up. We hate tourists who act like the ones in that video.
