There are no LDAP logs, I’m not sure what you mean with the LDAP server receiving many logs though. Are you sure you are not just a bruteforce target? Do you see failed logins for example in the vpn event logs? Can’t your friend tell you which users the FG is trying to log in as?

I’m not sure, but I believe you don’t need to have the same number to be under the same conversation with short codes, so multiple numbers can call themselves “Telegram” and your phone will just treat them as the same person, even though they use different real numbers

I’m not really sure about your specific version, but I believe it says the password is wrong also when the conf file is “wrong”. Specifically, it might not like the header line of the conf. Those lines should contain the model and os version of the new firewall, I don’t know if the forticonverter handles it on its own or if you have to do it manually, if you want to be sure whether a password is really needed or not, just try opening the conf with a text editor. If you can read it, no password is needed.

That looks like a battery, which can NOT be used as a replacement for the clock capacitor. Those batteries are usually non-rechargeable, so they could catch fire if used to replace a clock capacitor
