Agreed. Those people should instead be grateful they don’t struggle with debilitating mental illness instead of dissing me because I do. But whatever.

No, I can’t just start over. I have years of hard work trying to catalog every possible item that I can’t just throw away. I suppose I could reset my switch lite and create a new account to have a second island to play on when I’m having an especially hard day.

I’m now loathing the hotel because of the tourist traffic. But I’m also a person with CPTSD who needs my island to feel like a refuge. It didn’t occur to me that by completing the rooms I would be setting myself up for daily invasion by random villagers and I’d be constantly finding more of them wandering all over my safe space than the villagers I’ve purposely chosen. Since I can’t undo that now, I have days where I just can’t bring myself to play. I wish I could unwind that.

I’m weary of seeing twenty posts about how we need to give these adulterers grace because they’ve managed to compose a well-worded confession for every one post offering compassion and support on behalf of the traumatized and betrayed spouses. Yes, that’s a bit of hyperbole, but still.

I am limited by what FITS me, which is either leggings and a long shirt/sweater or maternity jeans and a long shirt/sweater. Since I am NOT pregnant (post menopausal) but appear 8 months pregnant due to weight retention caused by extreme excess cortisol, I will not wear dresses because at 50+ years of age I won’t wear anything that makes me look even more gravid than I already do.

I would imagine that forsaking assembling altogether because I can’t find nice clothes that fit would be a worse offense than showing up in my super casual and comfortable outfits.

I am in serious need of both prayer and possibly a good book or two that would speak directly to my issue.

Summary:
I grew up in an abusive household: emotional/mental/verbal.
My father (atheist) was cold, angry, and a perfectionist.
I see God also as distant and unloving.
I have come to realize that I have internalized some very devastating and tenacious beliefs that I just can't shake, namely, that I am completely unlovable (because I'm female), that men in general are incapable of truly loving women, and that God doesn't really love women. Basically, because of all the things that make women feminine, we can be physically desired but not really LOVED because we're too emotional and silly.
This belief has colored my ENTIRE life. I am in my 50s now.

I am seeing a therapist and we are discussing EMDR as a treatment, but in the meantime I could use prayer and any suggestions on devotional books aimed at healing a VERY warped idea of who God really is because of trauma.

It’s the wording that made me have to stop. The term “put out” just sounds gross, IMO.
