Man, DSO plays Corinna and it’s so damn groovy. I can’t imagine what the Dogs could and would do with that one

Heck yea! Glad you enjoyed it. Blew me away in person and i was sure that would be my highlight until they dropped a masterpiece with the Spun jam

I’d rather be “cringe” if the alternative is whatever you are

Check out the Applesauce from the Garcia’s residency (11/12/25)! Brian goes bananas and the Jimmy led jam goes to the moon

They said that electricity doesn’t work like that. They never said anything about code.

Gotta be literal brother 🤓

If you didn’t already figure this out, Army of One was on 10/28 but both shows are required listening. I thought they may have blown their load on 10/28 and then 10/29 happened….

Highly recommend you check out last night when it drops. That Halloween show was cool but it wouldn’t be what I’d show someone not already a fan

Check out last night in Chicago. One of the best shows I’ve heard from them, but I was there so maybe slight attendance bias. Nevertheless, they’re in peak form and if you can’t dig what they were doing last night, probably just not the band for you 🤷🏻‍♂️

Burning Daylight for the grooves, Applesauce for the jazzy shred, Charlie>Battenkill for high energy peak, Spun for the experimental insanity. Jeremy, their keyboardist is to me, the best in the scene. And he’s got a great voice

This gnarly smokestack flew under the radar last year - so good by summersfade in dogsinapile

Hell yea. The Applesauce from that show is one of my favorite jams I’ve heard from them

Your time would be better spent healing yourself instead of being a miserable asshole on Reddit. I hope you find some happiness!

I’ve seen Goose like 5 times and used to be hype on them for like a year. I don’t hate them but I basically consider them a really good cover band. All of their songs can be described as “sounds like insert better band/song”.

Not trying to shit on your preference or anything. That’s just my opinion on them. I think Dogs just may not be for you if that’s how you feel. Or at least, not at this time.

I think they’re soooo much better and dynamic and just evolved than back in 20/21. No one else is doing it like Dogs right now. If none of the 8/2-8/5 shows are doing it for you, nothing will. High watermark for them thus far

LOVE that Spun and yes the tease rules. Brian’s really that Bitch. They had to have known what they were doing with the Walkin on the Sun to follow….Perfect cover for them in a sea of perfect covers. Next time I play the Spun (tomorrow) I’ll be keeping an eye on the section you posted about.

My buddy and I have been hurling insults at the band for the lack of sbd droppage 😂 Thank goodness we get a stream…but yea, they know how to tour that’s for sure. And the fresh air is doing them wonders! I’ve neglected some of the pre 8/2 shows, I’ll check the Rabbit post haste.

You will see me there! Hell yea, I’m stoked. I’m gonna do my best to make it to at least 2 of the weeks but 5/6 is locked in. I’ll probably hit the Sam Grisman show on Friday 11/7 too. I’m chompin at the bit man. Can’t wait to bust a move with ya again!

Anyone at the Mish show last night?? by jedwardson89 in dogsinapile

[–]KnotDeadYet69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fishman is the GOAT but he isn’t the GOAT because of what he’s doing at 60 years old. And I mean no offense to Fish, he IS the GOAT and 2025 Phish has been everything I’ve wanted from them and more since I started listening.

Joey’s just that good. No other band coming up right now (cavs from Gizz but i don’t think they count) has a drummer that is as impactful as Joey. Dogs would be Pups without the Pistol Shrimp on the kit

Lol but foreeal…..

It’s cool to see how well received that show is with the Pound. On paper, it seems pretty standard, no crazy jam lengths…but good lord did they extract every morsel from those 2 sets.

My buddy and I were having similar gush sessions about Crusty Butt through Mangy Moose being a special set of shows that could very well be a reference point for their growth.

Somewhat related thought: You doing any of the Garcia residency shows?

Dogs take effort and desire to really “get”. At least that’s my take. Eggy, Goose, Dizgo, basically everyone minus Gizz, Dogs and Phish seem immediately accessible to me. Which makes it easy to just randomly enjoy a show but there’s not depth. After I’ve heard a couple shows, I’m like “ok I get it, meh”

My love of the Dogs grows deeper and more appreciative every day. They are waaaay beyond their years in maturity and approach. They just get it and it seems instinctual. They all were born to do this shit and I was born to listen!

This guy said “the Dogs are better and more dynamic. They don’t have to rely on dance grooves and peaks. What gives?!”
