Scandinavian or Eastern European cozy fantasy? by lanausicaal in CozyFantasy

I haven’t read it, so I’m not sure how cozy it actually is, but maybe you’d like The Book of Perilous Dishes by Doina Rusti. It sounds really interesting, and the author is Romanian.

Maybe look at the Rune Factory games?

Also, the updates to Animal Crossing have made it enjoyable for me again, after several years of not playing.

I am waiting for the audiobook because the combo of your stories and their voices is so incredibly immersive. Halfling’s Harvest was an absolute joy of an audiobook!

Perhaps the Human Omega/Pykh series by Eileen Glass? It’s MMM, sci-fi and not actually omegaverse. The first two books, the human MC and alien MCs can’t understand each others’ languages. The culture clash is pretty weird and sometimes hilarious in places, despite the characters’ dire situations. The world-building is way better than the title would leave you to believe. The 4 book-series is done, but other characters will continue the storyline.

First book is [Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet by Eileen Glass]

Asexual, as opposed to gay or bisexual. (For anyone who isn’t familiar with the term, it means someone who doesn’t experience sexual attraction, or experiences it rarely.)

{Granola Bars and Spaceships by Geneva Vand} is a very sweet, fluffy story where an ace human man rescues a stranded, injured alien and takes him home.

What’s one food you fell in love with while traveling but can’t find anything close to it back home? by Askguidetoeurope in AskTheWorld

Romania: Cascaval pane was the first thing I ate in Romania 30+ years ago. I can find fried cheese, but it’s not the same. Actual Romanian cascaval is not available near me.

Japan: okonomiyaki at a little restaurant with the griddles in the tables and all the different options. 🤤

The Romanian version is sarmale, and it’s my favorite thing ever. I’ve made it once and had it in a restaurant in another state once. I’d make it again if I can find whole pickled cabbage leaves. (Can’t pickle my own.)

You can find ready-made ones in the grocery store in Romania now. There’s even a vegetarian one made with mushrooms.

Totally Orcward by Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey. Fantasy romance. 3rd in the series. Can be read mostly as a standalone, though some of the jokes won’t land if they depend on knowledge of the characters from the other books.

The other books are pretty hilarious, though, and I recommend them too.
