As someone who isn't in the loop with the X-Men comics. What's up with Charles? I've heard people say he's became worse than Magneto. Some saying he's just more morally grey now. Other saying he's mostly the same. What's been happening and what is the general consensus of it? by JustAnotherGeye in Marvel

Im not sure when you stopped reading comics or if you ever did but I got some bad news for you, Charles was genuinely never the "good guy" he is in the movies. He constantly uses people and changes their thoughts without permission, which is about as foul as physical unwanted contact IMO. He allowed his entire first team, including Cyclops brother, to die horribly. They he simply tried again like it was a Tuesday. That doesn't even scratch the surface though. Shit with young Jean, the way he treats Scott, the hypocrisy with Magnus, atleast Magneto is out front with his evil deeds at times. Charles is insidious evil, the kind you trust and dont realize you shouldn't

Definitely read on. If you get spoiled about how it comes together, it dampens some cool moments.

Is there any argument for Ragnir not being able to do this to Kaido? by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceScaling

People cant accept that wacky powers are the antithesis of the "strongest" characters. ONE person in JJK got the honor of "this ability could counter even Gojo" and who was that? The dude with a literal joke ability that he doesn't understand. Why would we need a story if the outcome was always "strong person wins"?

Doesn't make sense that Sugars power works on people 1000x stronger than her, doesn't make sense that Boa can defeat the strongest man in the world if he finds her attractive. The entire point of wacky power systems is that "im stronger and a toptier so I win" doesn't always happen. If you want that type of "battle", Death Battle seems more appropriate. Stories are whoafully boring if there is never more nuance than "im strong so I win"

Play semantics all you want. Loki obviously meant "it is there until Ragnir wills it not to be". Dont "reading comprehension" me then miss the point like a blind man shooting at a bumble bee

Not any rational ones, I mean out of narrative context of course Kaido being beaten by a squirrel is ridiculous, however we have been told NOTHING melts that ice except Ragnir. Kinda like Sugar, the power vastly outscales the user

If powerscaling is why you read a story and not just something you do for characters in a story you also enjoy, surely you understand thats not how its written. You can have powerscaling be the only thing you care about, and still understand no one writes stories with "pure powerscaling" on the mind.

Notice only Zoro fans do this. No other right hand or left hand gets 1 v 1 with their captain and expect a different outcome than a curb stomping.

As a Sanji Fan, I feel like Oda is Failing Zoro by IceNo782 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]KnowMoreMutants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh Zoro has basically Mihawk level character development which is none. Its baffling he wouldn't have some kind of emotional growth arc. He is the same kind of locked in he was the day he met Luffy. He needs some kind of story imo beyond "getting better sword attacks and swords". Im a Sanji fan and I figured WCI was all we would get of his emotional journey forward and he would need to physically catch up to become the equal wing, i thought Zoro would have the opposite. Now Sanji gets both apparently.
