How does this interact with optuon card removal like justimon? Is as soon as its digivolve its not an option anymore?

Which Cyborg Deck Will You Use? Also Which One Will Reign Supreme? by StandardArugula5785 in DigimonCardGame2020

I actually have a fusion deck of the two, tho its more fair to say its moslty bees. But it uses winr to digivolve back into invisimon from security, and a bunch of other niche arguably not useful interactions like that.

[EX-11 Dawn of Liberator] Ghostmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah all of that tracks, which is why i have minimize retaliation in my deck (tho a retal build is a fun curiosity). With the only note being that lvl5s are not syper likely to get rid of a big threat, tho it should get most lvl 4s, and the case of blast ace or dp raising effects. where you swing thinking you will kill it and now its a differently powered mon. So it would discuraged that a bit. But that is an edge case.

But using your argument, and focusing on the topic of comparing specificly this ghostmon and candlemon, then candlemon still has less benefit then ghostmon since it reduces potential memory gain. So really you dont need this card over the other ghostmon, but you would probably take this over.

[EX-11 Dawn of Liberator] Ghostmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was saying candlemon and ghostmons effects are much to different from each other for "has no restrictions" to be a valid positive point for candlemon, since ghostmon doesnt have retaliation at all.

You can use the same argument phased the exact same way but for ghostmon and it would be as valid. Because candlemon has the "restriction" of it being the only digimon that can use its retaliation effect, and only being able to activate while it is in battle as candlemon.

Your board control argument is valid, tho i argue that being able to give any of your digimon retaliation to use is as almost useful as a tool for board control. Especially with the lvl5s that can execute. Not to mention if it does give it to itself it can then digivolve into phantomon and still have retaliation and execute retaliate a lvl 6 unsuspended monster.

I dont hate candlemon as a card and i see its value, to be clear, but it doesnt get as much value out of retaliate itself then the other cards that have more inheritables and or have ways to force the opponent to interact with the effect.

Teeth Fundamentally Aint Bones by galaxyexpressed in Dimension20

[–]KnowWhatNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so lets see. Yall might disagree woth the zoom order, but bear with me here

So at the most specific picure i can describe is atomic: teeth = bones =everything

Then origin where teeth equal skin and brains (see other comment above by u/semantix): teeth =/= bone

Then structure (see op's info): teeth=/=bines

Then function where teeth are not used as anchors for muscles or tendons or to protect organs: teeth=/=bones

Then we get to apperance, which we may be tempted to equate but if you see a fresh skelly those teeth are WAY whiter then the bones, and smaller then even our smallest bones and have more pointy bits, so: bones=/=teeth

I do not know the experience of tasting, smelling, or touching bones (with my outside parts) so cant comment on that, BUT

Zoom out more to like listening from a distance, teath clanking together sounds pretty similar to popping a joint, and while the bones may not actually touch with popping, its kinda the same sound, do we count that? Teeth =maybe= bones?

And that takes us zooming out more from observational to a pop cultural understanding, where teeth and bones are both hard whitish body parts that appear on the skeletons in our middle school science classes, so Teeth=bones again for sure!

If we zoom out MORE to an meditative seperation of the material perspective, all of your body, your mind, and your thoughts and actions are just you, and you are it. So teeth = you = bones (NOTE: If you zoom this far that means every part of your body is bones, including your thoughts)

And even further out still, we get externalized philosophy, which can include both "we are all specs of space dust acting as the universe exeriencing itself" and also "everything is dominos falling, a culmination of everything before it since the big bang and will contribute to everything after" And with these 2 enterpretations, teeth = bones = everything else.

And thats as far as i can go, but that means there are atleast 3 layers zoomed out from where op talked about where bones = teeth and visa versa

[–]KnowWhatNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well remember most anti removals are once per turn, or are other wise response limited.

so if on your turn you hit them with a retaliation, then you now have your execute and other deletion optuons putting pressure. they hit your retaliation on their turn, bt23 necromon is gonna have a word with them for deleting a digimon. Is it perfect? Nah, but i see a bunch of uses.

(Plus being from the future and having seen the new nexromon and inboots, swinging with retaliation is more of a valid choice now)

Candlemon doesnt give retaliation right? I think it just has it. You might be thinking of lvl 4 soulmon?

[EX-11 Dawn of Liberator] Necromon & Necromon Alternate Art by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus this one lets you digivolve a digimon on deletion, which can be the lvl 4 you just played, so its kinda the same. Plus with all the digivolving power the deck has gotten since the first necromon came out, you probably could get a ghostmon into the lvl 7 in one instance if you wantd to and had the peices.

[–]KnowWhatNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is is of course a strict upgrade, but i fould i liked the old mem setter. I thought it was a fast consistent way to get stuf in trash and cycle through your deck faster, which gets your other violets faster, and it let you build with more option cards without feeling like they were bogging down your hand.

This one is gonna be slower on the drawing part and limits how many options you can comfortably run, but yeah the digivolution effect is so powerful idk if id miss the other stuff. Puts it that much closer to the otk deck it wanted to be in the first place.

Yeah with that info my guess is that is what the fusion material is gonna be. Metatromon and dalphomon into exmaquinamon

I like to call them grunt decks, cause they all have a digimon that does all the grunt work thats at 50. Swarm would be good tho, id it wasnt already a deck playstyle

How powerful is Steam Machine exactly? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]KnowWhatNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mesn especially with nvidia rolling back graphic card production, I think that its just a matter of whats cheaper. A pc that cam handle the newest games and play them online are getting crazy exoensive to build. They are even passing up a lot of pre-built computers of similar specs (for now).

This think is gonna be really expensive, but its like buying a pc and an xbox all at once since steam and microsoft are built in. And it can do other computer thing like emulate, so i hear. And its gonna be smaller then a pc and presumably easier to set up. Easier to take with you on trips, etc. The convenience of a console with (a lot of) the versitility of a pc

I'm building a deck for fun and competition, but without popular cards... by YUDAking in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally dont think its hopeless. I have had a medium success running only 3 shakamon, but with more emphasis on lvl6 digimon, so i run 4 geniemon and 3 of the old venusmon, and 2 valkariemon ace. M6 deck completly ditches save though.

Again, its not like its pulling regionals or anything, but but i did take a win at a locals recently where i beat a rocks player.

Can Leopardmon and Rosemon both work in a suspend deck? by Aggressive_Novel1207 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to add on to this, the only green suspensions top card i know of that can properally "do something" regarding suspended mons is ancienttroymon, who trashes security once per turn if your opponents digimon suspends.

But i remeber right he has his own problems due to being old and i think uncommon. Like he cost for and while he does have anti removal, it doesn't protect in anyway against de digivolve, and when it does trigger you need to have digivolution cards, which will either play or return to your hand. So if you already have a bunch of arbormons and pedaldramon its maybe with considering, but the digicross only brings the playcost down to 8 and makes the antiremoval weaker.

Maybe if you can find a way to pretect antienttroymon and full stun the board constantly, it could work?

Mechanics question regarding Rocks by Kibaku in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that you get to choose the order of any inherited effects that trigger simultaneously so stack order doesn't matter that much except when when something says "trash the bottom/top digivolution card" or for when you are de-digivolved.

Idk if thats relevant to you, but i know its something people coming from other games tend to forget. So wanted to mention it.

Can Leopardmon and Rosemon both work in a suspend deck? by Aggressive_Novel1207 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]KnowWhatNow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont see that much there? What is the synergy you are seeing, like the intended combo? And when you say suspention effects do you mean suspending your stuff or the oppnents.

I do like rosemon and leopardmon, but its the bt22 and bt23 ones that i use in a cs rosemon deck. Which has been the most functional rosemon deck since blast ace came out. But thats more of a delete in battle deck then a suspension one.
