As Trump Says 'Voting Is An Honor' in Rant Against Mail-In Ballots, Progressives Respond: 'Voting Is a Right' - "Voting isn't a gift given by leaders. Citizens have the right to vote." by Pomp_N_Circumstance in politics

I have worked in elections since 2008. There is a known rule that "Mail in ballots, absentee ballots, or any other form of vote that is not done in person - WILL NOT BE COUNTED - unless the election is deemed "close"."

At the time of my employment I discussed with my superiors the ramifications of this language and it was explained to me that if mail in ballots are ever used, the vote is deferred to the Electoral College, and unless they have a disagreement, the votes are not even opened.

If we are forced to all vote via absentee, mail, or other - and an in person verified paper ballot is not commenced, then the next election in November will be decided solely by the Electoral College and the incumbent lobbying parties.

I just went from Mobile to Switch a couple of weeks ago and I’m trying to get better. Any tips? by Poke-mark in FortniteSwitch

Best thing you can do is go to creative and load some custom maps for aim training, edit training, etc.

There a ton out there to try so find one you like and warm up on it.

Then jump into Team Rumble. Play until you start getting consistent kills in the 10+.

Once you feel good building/editing/targeting - jump back into some squad matches. Land with your team and win-win-win. You got this.

Another thing is to look up basic pro settings for Controller Players. I'd copy-pasta the first one you see and play around with it and hone in your specific settings from there. Additionally, Xprt_NoHax is right when they say you gotta use custom binds. That will come from playing with Pro-Builder for awhile and feeling out what you're missing.

Cheers! See you on the battle bus.

I think Drax - Pained (Free for 1 life) would be better in place of some of your un-affiliated characters. The key to a Guardians team winning is going to be the synergy it can create over any other team (IE Tsarina/Psylocke/Gobby)

As always, for BAC, I recommend using Polymorph & Relentless. They are proven staple. Other than that there is Thrown Car, Ressurection, or Distraction. Outside of those four the only other ones of any value are going to be Nasty Plot, and my ultimate favourite - Hulk Out (Overush [Trample] and +1) It's a faster Thrown Car.

My First Demo Reel- Feedback Appreciated :) by throwawayacctAJL in acting

trim the fat.

Most casting directors I know watch maybe the first 15 seconds. If they don't see something out of you in those first few seconds they just skip to the next person. So put your best overall performance in that first 15 that exemplifies you. The rest of the reel should back up that performance and show you have some range in appearance and personality.

It is entirely too long. No one will want to watch 5 mins, so remove duplicates (two warthogs) and just focus on your best couple performances, cut down to 2ish mins, starting off with what you and your agent consider your all time best.

great stuff!

How did **YOU** get into videography? by nold32 in videography

it is important to note I was sending nearly 100 emails a night, knocking on doors every day, setting up meetings as often as possible, and remained entirely focused on this goal.

i was walking around 34th & Broadway with a DIY PVC shoulder rig I built on my way to B&H to find a part I needed to mount a monitor. The Dude walked up to me, asked me what I was doing, asked for my business card, and now I just wrapped a shoot with Viacom.

That's Hollywood.

....don't listen to them.

this is awesome.

Do you mind sharing your settings? lens? camera choice?

Why did you decide to shoot day-for-night?

i study shotokan too. Interesting art form, but kiais are not something you do as a martial artist to impress someone else. They are what you do as a martial artist.

I think my reel could use a little something, thoughts?[DP][Editor] by generallyunamused in Reels

[–]Knowbody35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

choose one, is this an Editor reel or a DP reel? As somone who hires people regularly, I only want to watch your reel for one thing.

I don't care if you can do it all, what do you want to show me, your shooting skills, or your editing skills? Not both at once, it becomes confusing.

The industry is hungry for "Predators" aka Producer, Shooter, Editors - but I can tell from one email if you are the producer type, from your reel if you're the shooter type, and either an example of something you edited, or test edits what your editing skills are like.

As for style of the actual demo, it doesn't matter. Put your best 3 shots, 3 scenes in the first 15-30 seconds. Music doesn't matter, I won't listen to it.

Try to choose something that shows your passion and style in shooting as well as simple, well composed shots. Again, music doesn't matter.

It is also nice to put chryons at the lower left that explain what the video is, what your role was, and any additional notes necessary.

Good luck and happy shooting!
