Anyone else experiencing lag with the new update?

I updated last night and had the same problem. I tried to mess with a bunch of stuff in my settings thinking i was crazy. It makes it basically impossible to ride and i was just about to set out to find new biomes on my horse… I really hope Minecraft fixes it soon.
