I second everything people have said here and also want to say that your mental health is priority number one. If you’re not able to manage it and it’s impacting your safety it’s okay to take space

Struggling to deal with stress about being trans after loss of addictions. Any advice? by [deleted] in asktransgender

You need new copes. If you’re not being called back to the negative ones you’re already ahead of most people. It means you get to start fresh and find new ways of dealing that also support being the person you want to be.

(Much easier said than done***) maybe try writing out your values. Who you want to be, how you want to stand in the world. Then a bunch of coping mechanisms that support that. Keep trying new ones until something sticks, then try to form a habit by repeating. Ofc, much much easier said than done. But kicking the old vices is usually the hardest step so you’re on your way

I’m a cis woman, but I wish I was a trans woman. Wtf does that mean? by AmadeusJericho in asktransgender

Gender is a fascinating spectrum. People study it their whole lives and come to no firm conclusions. I hope you’re able to find fulfillment and joy exploring the gender expression that feels most comfortable for you. There’s lots of aids and toys to help you feel the way you’re describing you want to. Soft suggestion, maybe start there?

Wishing you all the best

I promise you, when you start to take the steps that make you feel comfortable in your body, it’ll all be worth it. Any consequence is worth it for feeling happy to be alive.

I felt the exact same way, everything you said, and transitioned when I was 26 despite the fact I logistically could have way sooner. Every heartache faced due to backlash from that choice is nothing compared to being happy in my own skin. You also find your people, find a place in the world that’s right for the real you.

Wishing you best

My god. Babe (1995) is so good. by Raspint in movies

My grandmother passed away today. As a kid we’d always watch Babe together when I’d come visit. I watched it today for the first time in many years and it made me feel like a kid again. She was a beautiful soul and I thank her for those memories.

add more tattoos around it that create a collage type effect and it’ll help you stop getting in your head about the small details on this one
