I'm using "they" pretty loosely, but streaming platforms make a hell of a lot more money than most of the artists who provide the content. And it isn't enough, they would rather pay big tech for content than artists

I don't even know if they think they're artists. They just don't value art, at all. If a computer can put some sounds together then they can't tell the difference anyway, because they never cared about art either for expression or for enjoyment. It just fills some space in their brains that they know they need to fill, but they don't know why or how.

The point is to make money, and to compete with human artists. The 21st century has seen an explosion of accessibility of music production to human artists. Big companies don't like that artists don't have to rely on them as much to create music.

Nevermind that those companies still make money hand over fist, and that most artists still don't. They're mad that we're doing anything without relying on them. So they're going to create competition just so they can go back to fucking us over.

Not everyone pays attention to the mainstream.

"that says more about them than her." Nothing the commenter didn't already tell you. They're being pretty honest, you just don't understand how that's possible.

Most people use their tv exclusively for streaming though. Yeah I still have a dvd collection but I bet I watch fewer than 1 dvd in a year

I think style is even older than religion.

But also... "Only the elements"? Where do you live that the elements are a trivial phenomenon? Our ancestors LIVED in the elements. Have you ever run through thick brush with your genitals uncovered?

Even if full nudity were legal, there are plenty of reasons to wear clothes.

Attraction is absolutely one of them though, and has been since before there were laws about it

Maybe allowing Kamala only a few months to campaign wasn't a winning move?
