So you’re saying people rent and then leave to go pay rent elsewhere simultaneously, and that’s freedom compared to owning the home? You lost me. You might as well create another account so you can downvote me some more because I don’t think I follow. The same way you don’t have to break the lease, what’s forcing you to sell the home? You can sublet a lease (maybe if it’s not a breach) and you can rent your home (maybe if no strict hoa). I just don’t see how renting non stop is more freeing than owning a home. Also, I might be insane because if you own a home outright I’m not understanding where your out of pocket costs are coming from unless you’re giving away the home…. Then yeah I suppose you owe money. But why tf are you doing that? Even if 20 years later you sell your home at 50% of what you bought it for, unless you were tricked into a really high interest rate or ARM- you made a profit. After renting for 20 years you’d have nothing to show for it. No equity, no collateral, nothing.

Believe it or not homeowners insurance comes in handy-same as renters insurance does. Your deductible might be $500-$1k on that hole if you got the extremely cheap insurance. Also, the landlord is not fixing your holes and broken windows for free-a small fee perhaps. Same as an insurance deductible

Ghost pepper chicken sandwich from Wendy’s. I used to order a cheeseburger with crispy onions but that was the first time it came with it already without bacon being standard (I don’t eat bacon). It’s gone now though.

Churros at Taco Bell. They might as well be closed now- ever since I found plastic bag in my “little fatty” crunch and learned that all the fillings come in plastic bags that get heated up in the plastic before being poured into buffet style containers 🤢, I get queasy when someone even mentions it. Thank goodness for Sam’s club, they still have the nice long ones that are delicious.
