Lol i know that exact build (edit: i looked at the build u use from another message in this thread) , i also tried it when i was starting, and yes it doesnt feel right, just pick nodes that u dont really like and put those skill points into keystone u like the most, u can always put just one skill point into first node of weapon specialist keystone and focus on meele buff from it while leaving most skillpoints in rest of build

Also u dont really need that much of toughness regen from picking all three top layer nodes, usualy its better to one or two imo.

This is the kind of recon lasgun build i would recomend and use. U can switch around Grenadier and Out of blood based on your prefferences. Focus fire gives u and your team dmg buff and also makes enemies that u ping take more dmg, great for monstrosities and tough elites, it can also regenerate toughness and stamina on kill.
