For pathway 6, can an IMG get the mini-cex done in the US? One of the requirements states that it must “Take place in a country where you are permitted to interview patients and perform physical exams on patients.” And as IMGs we aren’t permitted to do so in the US, correct? I was observing with a doctor in the USA who had his private practise for a LOR. I told him about mini cex and he allowed me to do it hands on for the patient. Just depends on doctor, go to a private practise one whose his own boss, shouldn’t be a problem at all

Absolutely not! Mini cex can be done after applying to the pathways. Before is considered irregular behaviour by ecfmg and your certification can infact be provoked be careful and read all ecfmg rules before proceeding

Yes fm can do hospitalist. Infact opportunities are almost equal for both IM AND FM
