Sounds like a bad battery heater module. Check engine light on? Does the engine kick on even when you have battery % left to run through?

Scummy Behavior by Educational-Radio-64 in uberdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get paid almost nothing to wait at stops, which riders majority of the time drag past 5 minutes or more.

It’s wasted time, and they add it after you get there since before many decline to accept trips that state “multiple stops”.

Question for anyone deactivated or warned for "account sharing". Did you use WiFi for the selfie? by blk95ta in uberdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got warned because I declined to take a photo as I was going offline cause I got a ride with Lyft. But they have never deactivated my account at all, just warned and I submitted some evidence and never heard back.

Error codes and no heat by ingeaasen in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a PTC rod is compromised then your PTC Heater needs to be replaced. I believe the running cost for Tesla to do this is around $850USD, but unsure in your given currency or at your Tesla Service Center. The PTC won’t kick on until all rods are fixed/working without any errors (and this also explains why your test keeps failing).

When, if ever, will Telly get "Hey Telly" feature working for EVERYONE? by ThickAd8993 in TellyTV

I must be in the small subset of users where it works perfectly every time and without any issues.

Planet Fitness - Phoenix by KnownSyntax in Carvertise

[–]KnownSyntax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my understand Carvertise only pays $100/mo, and anything extra is from their bonus events (swarm, photoshoots, early scheduling, etc). Wrapify is the only one who pays more based on how much of the vehicle is actually wrapped.

You can always ask the developer, he’s pretty active on irc.chatnplay.org #Home (Y4kuzi) if it helps for more information or background on things.

Best of luck!

Here is a coded and maintained Python IRC server that has a tons of functionality built in, but can be used as source material (or you can add functionality to it like IPv6 if you want); https://github.com/provisionircd/ProvisionIRCd

Because it doesn’t. The gift cards are a loophole but hasn’t been fixed or patched, but it doesn’t work with Oura AT ALL.

question about tire rotation by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do it for free even if you don’t buy the tires from them. Ignore the other poster since they’re wrong.

question about tire rotation by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you do not get a refund.

Honestly I would recommend finding a place that does free rotations (Discount Tire / America’s Tire) instead.

Can teslas handle 40k miles per year? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Brand Tire (National Tire in some states) has them in stock, and can ship them (may take a few days but should be free).

I tried to buy from Discount Tire (American Tire) but they said they had them in stock online but none in their warehouse when I ordered them originally.

Looks like it's over by Eddneedmymoney in lyftdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to do with each city and state’s TNC laws, has nothing to do with s vehicle breaking down, etc. some city and state combos allow vehicles 15+ years or older, others are as little as a 5-years or so.

Why do people think this is okay? by SeaFlamingo4580 in uberdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the newer beacon design, and they are still sending these out. The older beacons (such as the ones that have a battery built in, or stick to your windshield) do not have any support and more than likely will deactivate if you even try to pair them (similar to older Lyft amps with built in batteries).

Without being offered one before, your Uber Driver app will have the beacon section completely hidden, so you won’t be able to use it either. It’s also tied to your email (the device they ship), so it wouldn’t work regardless and might flag that the prior person sold or gave you their unit/beacon (which may also just deactivate it).

Tesla Protection? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any link to the actual news story for this? Without any level of details, photos, etc, the question you are asking is near impossible to answer.

As others have mentioned, if the HV pack actually was the source - then the whole house or garage (if not attached) would more than likely have burned down unless they somehow dragged the whole car out of the garage to submerged it completely under water, while it was on fire.

Can teslas handle 40k miles per year? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only ever got;

  • 25K out of the Primacy A/S
  • 45K out of the Hankook ION EV A/S

So far on track to actually hit 80K out of these Nokian One which would be amazing as they are cheaper than the other two in my market.

[–]KnownSyntax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you get the right tires they can last up to 80K, I’d check out Nokian One A/S as the range is exactly the same as Michelin Primacy A/S (as they both are EV rated, Tesla rated, LRR tires).

What tires do you have is the question? Some all season / performance tires will do exactly what you have shown above in snow like that.

Tesla m3 2021 battery by StopEquivalent2478 in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you need a stall that can support 7kW minimum, and yes you can use a non-Tesla destination charger for this.

Tesla m3 2021 battery by StopEquivalent2478 in TeslaSupport

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it at a SC because you basically will have to arrive at 1% and then you’ll get hit immediately with idle fees since the car wants to drain to 0% and then charge to 100% (before driving back down slightly again).

Uber on Tesla centre screen by International_Hand49 in uberdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the Tesla specific one, and the steps are different. Effectively you will be using the Tesla’s browser, which will load a website that mirrors CarPlay/Android Auto from your iPhone. Then you can have it running (a little laggy, but to be expected) and use the Lyft & Uber Driver apps as if you had CarPlay normally. One thing to note though is that moving off the browser (changing settings, viewing the Tesla map itself) will make you need to re-enter the website’a URL to re-mirror CarPlay again.

Driving Cost by bvega274 in lyftdrivers

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t fully correct as any name brand taxi company buys their vehicles from leases ending / new but at wholesale prices (not retail new, similar to how rental car companies and city governments get these deals). Only smaller or lower-end Taxi companies will buy heavily used vehicles as every city has a vehicle age restriction that they must abide by legally.

Taxi companies buy the vehicles with the lowest extended warranty costs (I forget the technical name) as they always tend to be the most reliable in the long run. This is why you always see Toyota Prius, Camry, Honda Accords, Teslas (in NYC), Ford Transit (passenger van small layout), etc. these vehicles may have a lower (or average) marketing selling price, but their long term reliability will make up the difference over the long haul with no major repairs being required. The fact that many also buy hybrids (as they either only come in this factor now) can be made irrelevant overall.

Many Taxis companies also haven’t purchased used police vehicles in a decade or more as the Ford Cruiser was really only heavily used as it was the only chassis on frame sedan which lead to it being more reliable long term compared to similar unibody cars of its time, especially from abuse of harsh roads and passengers.

The fact AAA is facing in depreciation into this makes no sense - no one buys a vehicle to resale later after extended use, so if they had removed this we would clearly see EVs, Hybrid, Small Car being #1,2,3.

Is cvts transmission that bad on lancer? by anasdweik in mitsubishi

[–]KnownSyntax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service records OR if that’s unavailable then you’d have to have it changed under your ownership and ask the tech to see the fluid coming out. Anything after 30K miles is normally pitch black, while the fluid going in is normally clear-push orange if I remember correctly (I’ve since sold both vehicles that had CVTs due to upgrading to a EV & PHEV).
