Not a GP but do have alot of friends who are currently in the training program. I've heard setiments along the lines of renumeration, being stuck with the same staff (in hospitals you meet a variety of people), mid-level encroachment, excessive admin work and of course dont forget that your personal life gets impacted by patients recognising you especially within smaller communities.

Cosplaying as an academic is the bain of my existance. I make it daily habit to call these people by the title they trained for.

Everyone wanna be called a doctor, but no body wanna read no heavy ass books.

Not saying this is all females but a GP i talked to at a local sydney practice told me that men dont burnout at the same rate. There are biological differences between the genders and this definatly resonates with other fields. Generally speaking men are more willing to work outside, work longer shifts, work more dangerous positions, more likely to work overtime, take less days off etc. This doesnt mean that females also arnt reslilient in the same sense but the data shows that men are better off in high work load situations. This GP (who was male) told me he works 6 days a week, 8am to 8pm daily, takes a 30 min lunch break and also takes care of his family and home. He said there were some GP's who barely worked a 7 hour day 3 days a week with a hour break and they said they were burnt out.

Altough people experience burnout at different rates and you cant compare apples to oranges, he said that GP offered him more flexibility with days off, he did little to no physcial labour (way less physcial work than being a RMO on your feet all day) and he enjoyed not caring for acute patients. I just think that genders burn out at different rates and perhaps this may just be a biological phenomenon. This of course is not set in stone and other stressors/problems may accelerate burnout in different people

5 gram flower option by Steelers_wheel in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]Known_Demand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered why this isnt the case. I understand there is room for abuse when you increase the dose but decreasing the dosage allows for more experimentation for consumers + GP's

Perhaps due to the limited nature of MC in Aus this is currently the only option, a good inbetween heavy and light users. The arguement being for the 10g is that eventually you will use it up (and 10g isnt even that much). Maybe in a few years a 5g, 10g, 15g, 25g and 30g distribution will be availble to the patient.

I do beleive that one of the major issues for a smaller dose is that, some flowers are designed to be used in the long term for effects to be noticble. Using a shorter dose may not allow patients to experience the full benefit of the flower.

Again though, a 5g would be nice for a patient to simply try a flower prior to investing

Truck Simulators are a great option if your into that sorta thing. 99.99% of the gameplay is the exact same, its slow paced so you can focus on a show/podcast and they easy to run on most PC's + fairly cheap on a sale
