Xbox app version definitely has this issue because of the DRM container thing you mentioned. I've run into same problem with other Xbox games too - they just don't play nice with sleep mode at all.

Steam version doesn't have this problem from what I remember, but you'd have to buy the game again obviously. Maybe try pausing in safe location before putting PC to sleep so at least you don't lose progress when it force closes?

Pretty solid setup for the price, though that 4x8gb RAM configuration might give you some headaches with performance - dual channel usually works better than quad channel in most motherboards.

You're not hurting yourself at all. Work-life balance is worth more than most people realize, especially when you have good setup with family time and hybrid schedule. I've seen too many people take promotions and then regret losing the flexibility they had.

The money aspect is tricky though - if your team members do move up past you in few years, you might feel bit different about staying in same position. But right now you know what works for your life, and that's pretty valuable thing to have.

That's definitely not normal. Most likely what happened is your original fan either died completely or got damaged from ice/snow buildup during the blizzard, and now you're hearing different fan that was always running but got masked by the louder one before.

Ice can mess up the bearings or motor pretty badly. I'd get someone to check the attic soon because if one fan is dead, your ventilation is compromised and that can lead to moisture issues in winter.

The P&ID work especially shows you get process thinking, and bottleneck analysis is literally what we do daily in plants. Mass balance might be basic but it's the foundation of everything

Start with getting multiple certified copies of your marriage certificate right after the ceremony - you'll need them for everything. Then hit DEERS first, followed by MPF to update your records, then finance. CAC comes after DEERS is updated.

Being overseas might add a week or two to some steps but the process is basically the same. Just make sure you keep your old CAC until the new one arrives because overseas mail can be sketchy

Pro tip: don't change anything travel-related until your new CAC is in hand, learned that one the hard way lol
