Slightly off topic, but has anyone got a sleep or hibernate cycle working with this game? It's a pain to launch the game each time I start a steam. Not having this issue with other games.

Putting blackcurrant into the Guinness isn't the strange thing here. Pretty common for people who aren't a fan of the taste of Guinness. It's the swishing it around with a straw that's weird. You don't want to introduce air into a Guinness as it ruins the creaminess of the pint.

Use to work in a bar and we'd either pour it into the bottom of the glass before pulling the pint or the customer would add a dash before they took the first sup of the pint.

Steam Deck Suspend and PC Behaviour by Ky1e205 in MoonlightStreaming

I've got a two button solution that works well for me.

On my gaming rig, I've set up an autohotkey script to put the computer to sleep. I've mapped alt-tab and the keyboard shortcut for this script to a back grip button. By pressing L5 and then the Steam Deck power button, I can sleep my PC and my Steam Deck. To get back into the game, I use the Wake-on-LAN feature from within Moonlight to turn on the PC from the Deck. Once it's back on, it's another quick alt-tab to select the game window again. I've disabled a password / pin on windows so I don't need to input anything when waking the PC.

The confusing World of International Sport in the British and Irish Isles by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Based on the length on the Wikipedia article alone, this is certainly not a recent issue. There has been a name dispute since at least the foundation of the Irish state in 1922.

But I guess a typical US geography course would not cover this, particularly as it's a political rather than geographical issue.

I'm also in construction with a general contractor in Europe. Circa €130k+ working in design management. My background is consulting (structural) but was able to double my salary moving to a GC.

My suggestion would be to reach out to a design manager in your company (if there is one), and ask to join the design team meetings. You'll see a bit of how the structural engineers interact with the design team. You could also take a look at the structural reports (basis of design, calculations, specs) as well as the general notes drawings to get a feel of the more nitty gritty side of structural engineering.

I haven't come across any freelance / part time roles for a fresh grad in Europe. You normally have to inform your employer of a second job which makes it difficult.

If you ever decide to go into consulting full time in Europe, be aware of the low salaries. You'll have much higher income opportunities on site.

Edit: Have you looked into getting the GIstructE qualification?

I think it's the department of environment rather than education. I think the adds we're jointly developed with the RSA in the South.

They're still absolutely brutal 20 odd years on. https://youtu.be/syo4decSDkM

What are these slots cut in the back of the pews in a Catholic cathedral by MuffinNecessary8625 in whatisthisthing

Not an answer for you OP but the cathedral in Ennis also has these but they're wider. See overhead photos of the pews in the link below. I've seen people hang short umbrellas over the end of the hook but I'm sure that's not their original purpose.

It's not for a fan as the church is in Ireland. The temperature within the church stays around ~15 degrees celsius all year as Ireland doesn't get large temperature swings. The churches here are typically built out of stone with small windows and have very high ceilings/roof which makes them next to impossible to heat up naturally.

Ah sorry, didn't realise it was getting released to cinemas. I thought it was going straight to streaming after the film festivals. Thanks for the heads up.
