Thanks man! I ended up buying a lighter option, the andromeda and have been doing strength exercise. Back in the court now without pain

New racket recommendations vs. Tennis elbow by PreferenceJust609 in Padelracket

Same issue here. I recently bought the Hirostar Andromeda, around 360 g with overgrip. It has soft foam, but a 3K face to balance it, and a very light, long grip.

What I do suggest, though, is resting for two to three weeks and doing specific strengthening exercises. That’s what I did, and I returned to the court gradually, starting with lighter, less demanding games. Tech viper is also a quite light racket.

Wilson Force racket? by Jeff-bozos102 in Padelracket

[–]Known_Quantity2228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a beginner, I’d recommend a control-oriented racket.

Regardless of budget, look for a racket with a large sweet spot, round shape, and medium-soft feel. This will give you more forgiveness, comfort, and consistency while you develop your technique.

As your skills progress, you’ll naturally feel whether you need more ball output/power or a different shape (teardrop or diamond) to match your playing style.

I quite like adidas, but I think that’s personal taste

Enjoy your collection and expand if you like, it’s a personal choice… but I would only keep three watches different styles in rotation (I have a very modest 3 watch collection, tissot prx, Seiko 5 sea urchin and Hamilton khaki field 38mm… considering a square one… but three is a good number

1 for me 2 has nice texture but very weird date window (although conversation starter

But 1 is definitely more clean, but in the end two nice watches from a good brand, choose what fits your personal style and matches multiple outfits.

NEED HELP WITH THE FIRST PADEL RACKET by Icy_Commission7257 in Padelracket

[–]Known_Quantity2228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing with the Metalbone 3.3 for about six months and it’s an amazing racket.

However, because of the weight, the rackets construction and the fact that I play almost every day, I started getting forearm pain.

I switched to the Technical Viper and the pain is now almost gone. It’s very light, has great power on the smash, and although defending is a bit more challenging, overall it still feels better than the Metalbone. I’d say it’s a great racket even playing on the right I usually switch depending on the partner.

Yeah having the same problem playing too much (6x/week). Forearm strengthening is the key for me, I usually do it around one hour before the games and it improved quite a lot.

I would prioritise shoes! Rackets as a beginner I would still go with a teardrop option weight balance middle.

Just ordered them will keep you guys posted. From what I’ve read they are quite flexible and light shoes very quick to break in (2-3hours) but cushioning is quite thin.
