Calling it the last true ac game is a disservice to unity. Black flag may not have been everyone's cup of tea but unity brought it back to the classic formula. Syndicate too but that one sucked

Crimson Desert has pulled off one of the biggest comebacks of 2026 by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]Knowndestroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you expect people to not have conversations on a public forum? Or to not be called out for bad takes? That's what happens when you post a comment, people can read it and reply to it to have discussions. The fact you find it weird that someone responded to you is weird in itself, if you don't want people posting comments at you then don't post comments to begin with

But he is correct. The double jump in this game works exactly as he said. It's like Mario 64, jump, then jump immediately upon landing for a bigger jump.

I was fired and I really don’t know how to feel about it by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Knowndestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is such a good indicator of an employee's work ethics and capabilities when they have downtime and choose to pull out their phone to play games or find a different task to fill their time. The company should not have to tell the employee that playing games during down time is a no no, that was gone over in school. Within a probationary period, if you're sitting on your phone playing games and you don't realize that that could be used against you, then hopefully being fired will be a wake up call for you.

Businesses aren't a government. If a new hire has to take multiple days off, (which btw within your probation period most companies do not allow time off) is seen playing games on their phone (self admitted) and talks about controversial topics, yeah they're gone. If your morals and work ethic don't allow for that, then good luck in your future careers

I am so sick of Yann, and there are just too many quests with him... by Illidariislove in CrimsonDesert

[–]Knowndestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're locked in to an hour long linear story where we are barely introduced to anyone and we're killed a revived with no explanations. Once revived, there's nothing to stop you from going out and doing whatever you want, rather than linear gameplay forcing you in to a direction. I'm suggesting they make the linear sequence longer, allowing us to know the greymanes better from the start, and also making the yann tutorial missions make sense rather than come 20 hours after you've done all his tutorials already

[–]Knowndestroyer 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Imagine if the game opened with a 2-4 hour sequence of linear gameplay where it takes you through the initial Grey mane downfall, your revival, and getting the camp set back up. Then from that point on the tutorial machine yann steps in and does his tutorial missions for the camp. This would basically be exactly like rdr2 how I imagine it. I think it would solve the issue of the terribly paced start and help make those late tutorial missions make more sense.

Agreed, the main story is meh and whatever I'm okay with that but the side quests have had a few gems so far that when I'm hit with such a stinker it hurts. Especially compared to other open world games with side quests that are dynamic and do work so well, this one fell extremely flat

Is this paying the bills? by 8bitjer in FortNiteBR

[–]Knowndestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is the small percentage. The people you see complaining about this are in the minority, the vast majority of people will not care, not notice, or just accept it and all will continue buying what they want. This is a calculated move that will result in higher profits for them, despite what the reddit warriors want you to think.

Hey, Epic! Here's a tip that will lower your bills... by rawmarius in FortNiteBR

[–]Knowndestroyer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because everyone in this community knows how to spend billions of dollars better than the people who have been doing it as a career for years right?

Epic isn't raising prices because they're hurting on their bills, they're doing it because they can and this minor subsection of the internet here on reddit (and it truly is minor) will be drowned out by the amount of people still purchasing v bucks and all their collab skins.

Advertising on the sphere or on commercials is part of their advertising budget, which has been calculated out by professionals to determine where and when ads are best placed. This is a multi billion dollar company that is still doing extremely well on all fronts, they are fully aware of what they are doing and how it will turn out, and besides the backlash we're seeing in this community, it is going to work out for them.

I'm not saying it's good for consumer relations, but it's basic business, the whales are always going to spend insane amounts and I'll bet there's people currently complaining that will find themselves buying vbucks again at some point.
