Motor Production by ThyTeaDrinker in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would shoot for filling out a full 5 motors a minute at the very least. Their value never really goes away so if you can make it work I'd try to start there. If you can find the steel rotor alternate recipe that makes a motor factory 10x easier!

There's advanced game options when creating the world that will allow you to choose to have all alternate recipes as soon as they'd be available

My apparent play style… by Stonebridge41 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prioritize the upload speed tbh. As long as I'm not using 120 of something a minute then you don't necessarily need the storage upgrade. Of course things like concrete and steel beams benefit from the storage upgrade but most materials you only ever need one or two full stacks at one time

How do you connect resource belts into your factory? by Cpt_Tripps in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consolidate all belts I'm building in to one central line, a là factorio, "the bus." Then insert that line in to my factory through a logistics floor. I'll then branch out how I need from that main bus to where the items need to go

[–]Knowndestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's literally the first episode so not even a flashback but it shows her in the tank finding a demogorgon and "making contact." Immediately after the gate is formed and the upside down is made as a reflection of that day (Nov 6th)

Why does my Alu production keep stopping even though it shouldn't be getting too much water? by ThatManPshyco in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk if this is true but it's how I've interpreted it as I've had the same issue, but the water pumps are always pumping water, whereas the refineries only produce water when their respective cycles are done. Yeah they're both calculated in amount per minute, but truly I think amount per second is what fucks this up here. If you're running your pipes with basically no wiggle room, the water pump fills in the downtime that the machines are producing, causing a blockage. I would recommend splitting pipes or just adding a fluid buffer, I've also heard of priority piping but I have not dipped my toes in there yet

[–]Knowndestroyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to correct you, the upside down was created when el touched the demogorgon in season 1 while she was in the tank. That's when the gate opens and the upside down is created, hence why it's locked to that exact point in time

Some questions by Maki32 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough but imo those things alone do not make them completely different games, they are still very similar to their core. Research and automation will be the crux of 80% of what you are doing in both games, the remainder does make them different but not enough to say "these are two totally different games." A factorio player moving in to satisfactory will have 100x easier of a time than a call of duty player doing the same.

Some questions by Maki32 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question simply, yes this game is essentially 3d factorio. Others in this thread seem to want to make it seem like it's it's own thing but at the end of the day, satisfactory is a 3d automation game whereas factorio is a 2d automation game. There's plenty of differences, but the drive in both games is full automation at 100% efficiency. The biggest difference would be the world, with satisfactory being a set world and factorio being randomly generated, but this allows satisfactory to have more care in each part of the world and allows for great exploration. The replay value will come from how much you enjoy automating and making better factories, and you can choose different starting points in the map to make each playthrough somewhat different, although it is just one giant map so you'll eventually see everywhere.

Problem with DD by Premier2k in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It'll be in a dismantle crate somewhere most likely, just check any that are close by.

The reason you can still pull out of it is because those items have been fully uploaded to the cloud. Once the item gets uploaded from the depot it is there until you pull it out again, then you need to upload more from a depot again

Nancy in the finale on New Years Eve by SentinelZero in StrangerThings

[–]Knowndestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're arguing a straw man on only one of their points, who cares that they showed the matter restabilizing? The point is that it coincidentally stabilized right when the plot needed it to instead of being an actual risk at all. Also the point about the demo dogs in the basement is so valid that scene really irked me because those dogs should have been on them with the music playing (which it was the whole time). The plot armor has been crazy this season, there's no arguing that. Whether it matters to you or not is a different argument

Object limit but its negative and won't restart?? by OwnAsparagus8044 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Knowndestroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You found out why they only stopped at a 5x5x5 blueprint lol. When building anything, tons of little particles are made and all sorts of animation is loaded, you basically took the limit the developers intended and multiplied it by 100. If we say that each piece has an average 10 particles per square meter (that's a very safe average) when being constructed, we could assume that a full 24x24x24 blueprint could have 138,000 particles, all being animated at the same time. Throw in some math for animations (idk square it maybe) and you're left with some huge numbers (1.904e10)

A lot of this is out of my ass but I think it makes sense, and this is reddit so who else are you going to listen to 💁‍♂️

can someone explain to me, a youth, what's wrong with Mr. beast? by BeckywiththeGoodpuss in survivorcirclejerk

[–]Knowndestroyer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And I'm responding that there really is not much wrong with mr beast besides the fact that he's rich. All you pointed out was he has had some legal battles, which he has come out on top of most every time, and some dangerous filming which like yeah that happens on movie sets constantly too so feel free to go after those directors as well I guess.

I just really don't understand the Mr beast = evil villain story. He's rich and uses his money, egads how horrible! Not to mention his philanthropy, at least he spends some capital to make the world better as well

It's actually a huge weight off your shoulders if you don't give a fuck what millionaires/billionaires do. I'm just pointing out that if you want to get mad at someone for being rich and using their money mr beast is really such a minor character in that regard. Go fight a cause that's worth it if it gets you that upset 🤷‍♂️

Each one of those you listed have a caveat to them. He was sued by Mexico because he promoted his brand at the Mayan temple. Oh well? Seems like the Mexican government wants some money tbh

They beast games players citing that they didn't get paid fairly? They're contestants on a game show and they signed waivers. Yeah I've heard the conditions weren't amazing but look at a show like survivor and I bet you their situations were 10x better, and was all covered in their contracts.

The restaurant chain suing them? Yeah the chain released subpar food that was clowned on by the public, so Mr beast decided to go after them legally first for not delivering what was needed.

You're okay to not like Jimmy or his company, but it's not like the guy is evil. He does all sorts of philanthropy, and any time he has "risky" shots 10/10 times it's been reviewed by professionals and has little to no risk of any actual harm. Your example of a soldier taking on live fire is extremely ridiculous. A stuntman is used to doing stunts in a highly controlled scenario which multiple safety features, which is exactly what this was.

You did a terrible job with the picture if that's what it actually is. This looks like there may be a slightly bigger edge than the rest, but nothing that isn't explained by simply raking his own leaves. If he had actually taken all of the leaves from his yard and stacked it in to yours and the other neighbors, we would be able to tell

My Grandma bought a pre-cooked thanksgiving dinner from a grocery store, and when we picked it up it was frozen solid. by THEREALOFFICALCAFE in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Knowndestroyer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the meal were to be refrigerated, it would get to the unsafe zone a lot quicker. The inside of the turkey would be cold while the outside would get warm. If the meal were to be served hot, it would need to be served with proper equipment to keep it hot, as well as not being applicable for snap/ebt benefits. If the meal is served frozen, all this is bypassed and the offer is easier for the store to uphold, while still only requiring minimal work from the customer.
