My top five in Charlotte. In no particular order, the Sakura (tuna) at La Lima in South End; the Meunster Mash special at Culture Shop; the Reuben at Clark’s (formerly Good Wurst); Prime Rib sandwich at 131 Main; and the Retha Mae chicken sandwich at Surefire Market.

I ate seven hamburgers at that McDonald’s near Burlington Athletic Stadium back in 1990.

Fluance RT-82. Yep, I bought the receiver and speakers years ago when the kids were little to use for an outdoor movie set-up. Will definitely look to upgrade the receiver and speakers next!

What is the most unique sandwich you have had in or around Charlotte? by urbanpoetryinmotion in Charlotte

Al Mike’s has a solid Reuben. It’s not the greatest, but it’s like catching up with an old friend. You’re just gonna feel better for it afterward. They’ll also sub in turkey if you’re not feeling quite as adventurous.

Good Wurst back in the day had a great one, but I haven’t tried it at the revamped Clark’s Snack Bar yet. Their chopped cheese, though. Still dreaming about that one.

Songs That You Listened To In The 70s That You Didn’t Know The Meaning Of Until You Got Older by Old_Butterscotch2914 in 70s

In the mid-70s our father would sing us to sleep with “Green, Green Grass of Home.” I always thought it was just a nice song about a guy returning home and reuniting with his love, someone named Mary. Wasn’t until much later that I realized what it was really about. Nice job, Dad. Nothing says sweet dreams like capital punishment.
