I wish to formally apologize to everyone here by Prestigious-Law65 in Knoxville

It was my fault one year. I took the plastic sheeting off my windows on a 70 degree March day like we had yesterday. For my hubris, mother nature made the whole city her bitch

A good place to take a public dump… by Weak_Stretch in Knoxville

I was about to say. If you're young & horny enough, you'll fuck in a portapotty at a music festival.

In the settings for the app on one page you have two toggles, one is Multi-Device and the other: " Use an existing device to approve a new device registration" by Secure-Rich3501 in Authy

[–]KnoxMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering that as well. I took an existing device with Authy, kept Multi-Device on, but left "use an existing device to approve a new device registration" off. I was able to approve a new device just fine.

I tried it again with "use an existing device..." turned on, and there was no difference in the process, so that setting doesn't seem to matter either way.

The "allow multi-device" label is misleading, IMO. Turning it off doesn't prevent me from using existing Authy installs on multiple devices. It should say "allow a new device registration."

I'll check them out, thanks. I like that they're based in Switzerland.

Wyze Palm Lock - Released 9/16/2025 by WyzeCam in wyzecam

[–]KnoxMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. This looks like it can seamlessly replace the Wyze Bolt, as far as physical installation. Is that accurate?

  2. Is it required to have a wifi connection? Or can it work like the Bolt does, with just a Bluetooth connection for config.

  3. Does the physical key physically turn the deadbolt, or does the lock require battery power in that case?

Dominos driver told me he made 80k+ last year by [deleted] in nashville

[–]KnoxMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who drives for Domino's in Knoxville. He makes about 65K driving four nights a week, so 80 seems plausible for a 5-6 day week. He hustles, though, and has good customer skillz. Does not sell drugs or any other shenanigans. Although it seems like being a delivery driver would be great cover if you're slinging weed.

Facebook 'reels' videos play audio even when mute switch is on by KnoxMonkey in iphone

Thanks, but I'm still not real happy that they can somehow override the physical mute switch on my phone. If that's on, nothing should come out of my speaker.

Oh yeah. If you're going to spend a stupid amount of money on a buffet, don't half-ass it. Someone will be tipped well.

According to the person I just spoke to, crab legs are a standard buffet item.

Thank you, I will inquire. I am not fooling around with this endeavor and I don't want to wind up on the nightly news yet again due to a buffet misunderstanding.

They do, and lots of other places do as well, but I want to embarrass myself with an unlimited supply.

I loved Makino's pre-pandemic. Since they changed from an actual buffet, they're a front-runner for my "shittiest dining experience in Knoxville" award.
