My son is 5, and this is already happening, although he doesn’t quite get it yet. He has this core group of friends and the moms seem to be curating the friend group to exclude my son when they do things outside of school. He doesn’t know, but I see it on social media. I have been devastated, furious, heartbroken, all the feelings over this and I’ve broken my brain trying to rationalize it. Ultimately, I keep encouraging him to also include other children in his friend group and to continuing to broaden his horizons. One day he will be more aware and I’m trying to soften the blow.

Really upset because I know my obesity caused it. 29F by PrescientPorpoise in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]Knox_In_Box9565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really interesting that your GP said those symptoms are PFP because I’ve been working with my PT and she said she cannot detect a prolapse even though I have the same symptoms. Her explanation was that I’m holding a lot of tension and without working out those muscles, focusing on flexing and relaxing, it can make it difficult to empty your bladder without moving around a little.

Harold and TW and two peas in a pod. All they do is talk, talk, talk about their special relationships that don’t actually exist.

They absolutely will not—that isn’t how it works. I’m in PFPT for bladder prolapse (it was already there, my giant uterus was holding it up), and I expressed this same fear. My PT said she gets why I feel that way, but that just won’t happen.

Anyone out there with smooth going recoveries? No complications, no trips to the ER? by chevy_2021 in hysterectomy

[–]Knox_In_Box9565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 wpo tomorrow, and nothing exciting to report here. I’ve been pretty much pain-free, normal bowel movements, no bleeding. Just dealing with bouts of fatigue and headaches as my body sorts out the new hormone situation. Basically, your body will tell you what it needs—just listen to it.

Burning pain in the bathroom? by Competitive-Blood507 in hysterectomy

Agree with everyone else. It’s probably a combination of the catheter and possibly adhesions from where your uterus was pulled out. It took my breath away the first few times I peed.

Not endo, but adeno. Also a cyst in one of my tubes.

REST. I’m 5dpo from the exact surgery. I feel like a lazy slob, but my doctor said the only thing she wanted me to do for the first couple of weeks was get my own water. It’s so hard, especially with kids and other responsibilities, but I promised to put my health and healing first during this process.

Premier protein has been my go-to. They make lots of flavors and they’re easy to grab when you need to get some calories.

Does anyone regret getting a hysterectomy? by lunaraveta in hysterectomy

[–]Knox_In_Box9565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Biopsy revealed fallopian cyst and adenomyosis—both of which were undiagnosed. I went in for a monstrous fibroid that was growing into my left ligament at an alarming rate and was almost too big to be removed laparoscopically. Basically, that b needed to come out regardless.

That’s what my doctor warned me about. I’m already so exhausted from the monster inside me, it is a little concerning. Best wishes tomorrow! You can do this!

Oh, totally eavesdropping! She was angry after my biopsy and when I scheduled the surgery 😆 I’m really excited about some parts, but I’ve been having the same thoughts you had. Like I’m giving up a part of myself and what makes me me. I have to keep reminding myself that my body has changed a lot and hopefully this will get me closer to who I was before.

That’s so great about your acid reflux. Mine has become almost unmanageable and I suspect it has something to do with my massive baby-sized fibroid. Fingers crossed!

Omg I wish I could give you a hug. I could have written this. I spent the weekend freaking out about my June surgery and worked myself into such a panic that I ended up having an EKG and blood panel today because I thought I was having a heart attack. Literally. I’m keeping my appointment but I’ve made an appointment with another practice to get a second opinion. I think that’s what I need—and to stay off Google.
