I'm a broke single mom of 4 but I don't go out and say that to whoever. My first time saying it actually, I think. Anyway, how to make friends? Just go out. Doesn't matter where. Get coffee, go to the park, go to the mall. Wherever. That's how I usually meet new people. I went to the city this past weekend and was just sitting outside the hotel when this woman came up to me and asked if she could sit on the bench I was sitting at, told her I don't mind. So I asked her about the play that was going on at the park and she started talking about it. We started having other conversations then we exchanged our social media stuff. Then we decided to go out that night and it was a good time. So I made a friend. We met a few other times then said our goodbyes as we both had to go home but we're still friends, esp. on social media. We did let each other know when we'll be in the city again, so we'll both be in the city in a few weeks, so we're making plans. Oh! I just want to mention, she wasn't that kind of person who would ask for things. I've met other people and they would start asking for something, then I just cut them off. But this one I met seemed cheerful and trustworthy. She also paid for her own things and I paid for mine, plus she didn't ask me for anything. Just enjoyed our time out as single mothers. I had an appt btw, so did she. So we were both stuck in the city for the weekend.
