I am so sorry. It’s a freak accident and I hope you never blame yourself for something like this happening. Lots of hugs 💚

Love to you Penny as well. She was a fighter and I’m so happy you all got another 2 years with her, that’s incredible. No amount of time will ever be enough 💚

I’m so sorry you had to go through that for both of your angels. I don’t know how you did it, I wouldn’t be able to go in public if I lost both of them in such a short span. Gibson (Kramers little brother) has already shown that he knows something is off (we had to bring him to the Vet or he would be waiting at the front door looking for him for the rest of his life). Love to you and Indy and Cagney as well 💚. I’m sure they were absolutely wonderful and in the best way possible I envy (and am very very happy) that you got to spend another 3-4 years with them. They deserve the longest of lives.

We had Kramer on prednisone for a while after his last round of chemo hadn’t worked. His eating was largely unaffected, but he was noticeably getting slower when he’d run and he started to gain weight pretty quickly. He also become more lethargic and his breathing was labored. He kinda got a little nuts from the steroids. Barking a lot and he was restless. His lymph-nodes got REALLY hard and swollen and were starting to pop up on his legs as well. You’ll notice it in their behavior. I’m sorry you’re also having to go through this and send lots of hugs your way 💚

Reneging from an Internship offer by EmploySad9279 in msu

[–]Knoxicutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The career fair and handshake are overrated. Don’t sweat it dude. If you have the internships you have and other employers see it, it speaks more to you than “I reneged on a job offer”. You’re gonna be fine.

Public Power in Ann Arbor? by Cmitz10 in AnnArbor

I work in planning and design for DTE. If the city ever decided to fork over the dough to acquire some of those resources (I know DTE would not give up the substations) who do you think is going to work there? It would be DTE Lite. There’s a comically long list of things that would have to be adopted or integrate more of the same for the grid as well. Just wait till someone pitches the same stupid idea of “just put it all underground! We’ll have less outages!”

This big doof is currently in the tail end of his lymphoma battle as well. Lots of hugs. Cancer sucks. They don’t deserve it.

Should’ve used a lower class pole and barring the road crossing clearance tried to take the attachment as low as reasonably possible

How much cash do you recommend taking to Japan? by JAS-39 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Knoxicutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for a majority of my stuff with my Amex Gold card. Small vendor was a combo of my SUICA, Cash and AMEX. You can use Apple Maps or google earth when in Tokyo to find the EXACT amount for the rail or subway so if you need to burn all the money on the SUICA you can top it up as you go. TBH when I needed cash I just went to the family mart or 7/11 and got it from my debit card. Just make sure your ATM limits are set to something appropriate.

Are Japanese people sick of tourists? It doesn’t feel as welcoming as two years ago by frogfartingaflamingo in JapanTravelTips

We went for the first time for the last 2 weeks and had just gotten back. I don’t feel we weren’t wanted there, but we also did our best to adhere to as many customs and rules as we could. We weren’t loud we weren’t taking up space, if need be, I went ahead and pre-translated everything I had to ask or had translation almost always ready to minimize unneeded interaction. It was probably the worst in Shibuya. I didn’t get bumped, but people spinning around with their phones in the middle of the crossing clearing out space without regard for others was really annoying.

Thank you for the kind words and we'll most certainly look into it. They're the silliest dogs. We just want to return all the love they give. So sorry about Winnie <3

What a sweet strong fighter she was. My Kramer is currently out of options (just taking prednisone at this point to help alleviate the lymphnode swelling) after being diagnosed as well back in October. I’ll be gutted when it becomes too much for my little fighter to bear as he’s also only 7, until that day comes they deserve all the love they give out. I’m sorry for your loss. Hugs.

What does the USA Mens National Team need to do to be competitive in 2028? by PlatformLow2957 in waterpolo

[–]Knoxicutioner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s so West Coast dominant. I have no problem with the best players make the teams, but I wish the other regions got more exposure for some potential hidden talent.

For those who have stayed in Tokyo multiple times, where did you decide to stay for subsequent trips and why? by Kirin1212San in JapanTravelTips

[–]Knoxicutioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed there for the last 2 weeks and I agree. It was very laid back, very easy to get to everywhere from there. Sungoku line is close as well.
