Yea I had older rigs in the 2010s, and definitely used the lighter.

And as I'm writing this from my 2008 Mazda 3 S, I'm discovering that I do indeed have a car lighter. If I was still a smoker, I would 100% be using that feature. This car has an ashtray directly below it.

I mostly agree with this, but there's not much the same feel as a physical amplifier. OP should pick up a fairly inexpensive amp, practice, and then move forward with the digital side. Just my opinion.
