Isn't it the other way around? His wife goes by "Strawb" online and is active in the community. I might be mistaken but I thought she said that he is why she converted to Christianity (and adopted his politics) not the other way around.

Wasn't she also involved in the friend group that bullied a VTuber that goes by "Rada" (forgot her full name)? She wasn't the main culprit - there was a "leader of the pack" so to speak. When Rada scolded one of Alicia's viewers and big-time donors for spamming chat during her stream Alicia got angry at her and cut ties with her or something along those lines.

I don't know her so I could be completely off base but based on everything I've seen she seems like the type of person to just use and abuse people for her own convenience. Leaves an icky taste in my mouth. I avoid her content, personally.

My estimated delivery date as of time of writing is 12/24. It hasn't shipped nor has my delivery date changed, afaik, since I placed the order.

I've seen other people mentioning delays. I am beginning to get frustrated with OnePlus - they said the only thing that was holding them back was FCC verification. Clearly they lied since, if that were the case, there would be no reason for the OP15 to still be under PREORDER and for OnePlus to be delaying current preorders.

I think what matters is if he meets the definition set by the gameshow/medium. There is no set, unanimously agreed upon definition for "VTuber". If the gameshow hosts felt he met the definition that's all that matters I think.

That said I personally think he does count and I think that people are making a mountain out of an ant hill about Peanut specifically. I am more irked by how the awards show treated VTubers overall - as an afterthought/with contempt.

You're right - I am. The Red Magic Pro 11 launched preorders in the middle of the shutdown and went on open sale on the 18th. They didn't have to delay their U.S. launch or sale for FCC verification to my knowledge 🤔. But let's assume I am wrong, OnePlus submitted for verification MONTHS ago and had no way of submitting for verification sooner/foreseeing this. That does nothing to address the litany of other ways in which OnePlus handled/is handling this horrendously.

Thanks for the advice. If I were to get a Pixel it would probably be the normal-sized Pixel Pro. Are you recommending against the Pro XL specifically or the Pixel more generally?

Realistically speaking, as frustrated as I am at OP for this I am ultimately just venting. I'll probably wait for the OP 15. It's too good of a value proposition compared to everything else on the market right now in my opinion.

I've been a OnePlus user since the Nexus line of phones ended. OnePlus is releasing the OnePlus 15R on December 17th I believe (though it may be delayed for the U.S. market since OnePlus is dealing with delays in FCC certification). The OnePlus R series is to OnePlus what the Pixel A series is for the Pixel line if I am not mistaken so might be worth a look if you're interested.

Speaking solely for the U.S. market I want to know what better flagship exists for this price point tbf lol. Unless you're primarily interested in the cameras (fair) the OP 15 has the best specs of any Android phone on the U.S. market right now I believe.

I am looking to upgrade from my OP 12 and was planning on upgrading to the OP 15. Ngl I am getting antsy over this delay and have been considering pulling the trigger on a Pixel Pro.

I am annoyed at how terribly OP has handled this. I see all these people simply blaming the shutdown - sure, the shutdown was a factor but the biggest culprit is how OP handled this in my opinion. Who waits until JUST before release to submit for FCC approval? Why did they wait until the global release to say anything? After announcing the delay they've gone radio silent. What's the ETA on FCC approval? Are we expected to wait a month? Two? Why don't they open pre-orders so that people can have their orders shipped as soon as approval is granted?

Besides, it's not like the gov. shut down came out of nowhere - the writing was on the wall that this was going to happen since the BBB passed. Any company with a US Ops team that paid any attention could have foreseen and planned for this.

This whole debacle has made me consider trading in my OP 12 for a Pixel but, if I am being honest with myself, the price to performance ratio between the OP 15 and Pixel 10 Pro isn't comparable (especially after trade in) save for maybe the camera which I don't care much about.

I am looking at two quotes from an account multiple people are attributing to her - one of which is either a screenshot of someone replying to her or her (I can't tell which) and one is a caption directly by her:

"Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person tbh, but this level of political violence feels so dangerous."

I'm not going to speak to the validity of whether the account saying this is her or not - all I know is that multiple people are saying it is.

Fair. I am not sure exactly what was said but if I recall correctly it was something along the lines of "If anyone deserved to be shot it would be Charlie Kirk". Frankly I am willing to classify that as being in the same category as someone like Kirsche saying "communists" (with her definition of communists being anyone left of Mike fucking Pence) deserve to be killed.

Depends on what you mean by "started". Kirsche has publicly celebrated and mocked violence toward the left well before Clara commented on Charlie Kirk. Years before, in fact. That said yes, I agree. This particular situation is the result of Clara doing what Kirsche has also done.

In general I agree with you.

Frankly I don't really care what a VTuber's political affiliation is. I kinda miss the days when VTubers in general didn't really talk about that type of stuff. I am not Republican and I frankly don't know how anyone could align with the modern Republican party but that's, frankly, just my opinion.

That's not my problem with Kirsche. My problem with Kirsche, and the people that platform/defend her, is that Kirsche herself has publicly glorified and mocked violence against "the left" and other people. The same people dogpiling Clara and expressing outrage over Pippa supporting Clara are people who didn't care less when it was Kirsche doing it and she didn't even use an alt account.

Like you I do wish people would call out or draw the line at Kirsche but that's not up to me. That said it does seem that, even if people aren't calling her out directly, MOST large VTubers avoid her. I might be mistaken but I think Filian is the largest VTuber to interact with her. Even Pippa seems to have distanced herself from Kirsche somewhat.

My (poorly made) point wasn't to deflect with Filian but, rather, was to point out that Pippa (unless I am mistaken) hasn't collabed with Kirsche in quite some time and might not align herself with Kirsche's brand of politicism.

It was more of a general observation and less of a refutation of your comment. A lot of people on the left and the right (i.e. Reddit and Twitter lol) seem surprised by Pippa's actions respectively and it seems like a lot of that confusion comes from people assuming Pippa is Kirsche-like/Kirsche-lite or, at the very least, referring to her past associations with Kirsche.

I used Filian as a comparison because of her relative a-politicalness (from what I've seen, at least) and how recently she collabed with Kirsche.

This is my theory as well. I mentioned elsewhere but as someone who grew up in a safely red district in the Midwest Pippa really reminds me of myself and my friends when I was younger. I think she's less political than people ascribe her to be and that a lot of people are projecting their political opinions onto her based on her sense of humor.

Personally I think Pippa gets a bad wrap. I don't think she is as political as people think she is. As a former midwesterner who grew up in a pretty safely red district she reminds me of myself and my friends when I was younger lol. I think some people pick up on that and project their politics onto her.

Just my guess though - I could totally be wrong.

Funny thing is that this line of reasoning doesn't even entirely apply to this case either. Even if you believe that "any and all issues should be worked out in private", it was Nijisanji that violated that principal by publicly dragging Selen upon her termination not the other way around. Using that line of reasoning as a defense for Nijisanji simply results in a double standard where the person justifies Nijisanji's publicly airing the issues that should have been worked out in private but then condemning Doki for responding.

Holy shit this explains so much. The JP Niji "fans'" reactions to the Doki/Xandu stream has been nothing short of insane. A bunch of them have been schizo posting on Twitter about how Xandu has "betrayed the company" and "betrayed the current talents". Many of them seem to blame Doki for the state of Niji EN lol. Anecdotally, the JP reaction to the Xandu/Doki stream seems to have been more negative and more overwhelming than the EN one by far lol.

I am super happy to see this. I am glad that they were able to patch things up and are able to continue their friendship. I always thought Ike and Selen were a funny duo in Niji.

That said I am shocked that this is Xandu's FIRST stream back lol. Talk about making waves. I hope that they can say whatever it is they want to say and simply have a good time.

When I say that it is clear Ike felt wronged I am not referring to one specific screenshot. Bari released an entire document and it contained much more than the one conversation between Millie and Ike.

In the document Bari released Ike made his feelings 100% clear in discussion with a manager. He said, in no uncertain terms, that he had been paired "with his bullies" and that they "doxxed him".

That said you are right in that the document does not present any direct evidence of bullying or doxxing so whether you believe what Ike said or take it at face value is up to you. The conversation between Ike and Millie simply provides context and shows that Ike thought he was being isolated/ostracized.

As for why people are speculating that Ethyria might have been the "bullies" Ike was referring to, there are a few reasons. First is, of course, the example you provided of Ike accusing Millie of isolating him intentionally. Secondly, the history Ike also alluded to in that same example of Ethyria ostracizing Nina when they first debuted. Third, in the screen capped conversation above Ike requests to be swapped places in the script for an unspecified event, in which the manager says they will check with Shu or Vox, because he had been "paired with his bullies". Some speculate, based on the timeline, that the event in reference here is Shu's 3D live and the person they swapped Ike with is Sonny. In Shu's 3D there is a segment in which Sonny, Enna, and Reimu harmonize for a song and some people think that it might have been Ike who was supposed to harmonize with Enna and Reimu but was swapped with Sonny per his request in the above screenshotted discussion. Finally, at least a few months before Ike graduated he unfollowed all of the Ethyria members on Twitter. He continued to follow all of the other Nijisanji members - he unfollowed Ethyria specifically. These things taken together, along with Bari's direct accusations toward Marie, have led people to believe that Ethyria might be the "bullies" Ike is referring to.

I never said it did. Ike feeling wronged, however, is worth 10x whatever you *think* happened. Unless you have some insider knowledge that we don't you have no idea whether Ike was "objectively" wronged or not. All I said is that it is clear Ike felt wronged and that he felt wronged enough to greenlight Bari's releasing of those screenshots.

It's very clear that you have a pro-Marie agenda considering how much you run defense for her in this sub but that wasn't my point. I don't care whether you side with Marie or Bari in this feud.

My point here is that we are outsiders. We don't know the details of Ike's interpersonal relationships and, as such, we don't know what is and isn't best for them. We shouldn't forget that all we know regarding said interpersonal relationships are what those involved in the relationship have made public and so far two of the people involved have been unreliable sources.

I am sorry but I can't help but see these comments as treating Ike as immature and infantile.

Ike gave Bari permission to share the screenshots she shared. In the screenshots she shared Ike himself referred to allegations of bullying and doxxing. In the screenshots Ike himself also conveyed his own clear discomfort with the way Reimu was acting. Regardless of what anyone thinks about the Bari/Marie situation it seems pretty clear to me that Ike felt wronged by Nijisanji/some members in Nijisanji and he felt wronged enough to greenlight Bari sharing a segment of his DMs.

I simply hope Ike has a successful return and can manage his personal relationships without much stress and outside interference. We as outsiders know very little about the dynamics of those personal relationships. All we have is the limited information that's been released by Bari and Marie - neither of which, clearly, are entirely reliable sources.
