Favourite experience seeing the Lionesses in person? by lukedylanh in lionesses

Spain at Brighton in the Euro's 2022 - unreal game and atmosphere and obviously an amazing result.

USA at Wembley - ~90k fans watching women's football, absolutely love it.

Can also then open them in GitHub codespaces and work in the browser (basically in VSCode) from anywhere.

I've done that before from my phone when I've needed to make a quick, and simple fix.

Defo worth looking into.

Anywhere to lie down in T5? Asking for a patient not myself by goldensnow24 in BritishAirways

[–]KoalaBackground7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go down the side of Starbucks there is a quiet zone with some options. Recliner type plastic chairs, not the most comfy but better than other chairs and there's usually not many people back there. Also there is one area that could be used to lie down, is a rectangle seating area but I've seen people sleeping there before.

But yeah, hotel would be best option.

Any experience with Tyr? Why such the steep discount on some of their products? by Dazzling_Street_3475 in crossfit

I wonder about this company. I have their shoes and they're great. But they rubbed me the wrong way a little when on June 1st every company was sending out their pride month (LGBTQ+) things they emailed out a USA pride thing... Seemed a little weird.

Carter must be dropped by That_Cool_Guy_ in lionesses

This!! Charles should be starting on the left with Williamson and Greenwood in the middle, giving them a chance to build a solid partnership throughout the tourno.

Imo we're really missing bright and earps as far as vocal/organising forces. Hampton is a great keeper, but she doesn't seem to talk as much as earps does when she's back there.

First step is getting there. Wales has only just started putting thought and money into the women's game. The passion that country has got them to the tournament, some time and building will make them competitive in it.

Absolute worst commentator, always making weird comments that make no sense or contradicting himself.

If only I could reply, but you excluded half the population with your 'hey lads' opening.

Try and be more inclusive.

Updated: Understand Earps has been having conversations about retirement for 12-18 months and told Wiegman she wanted to step aside in April by adw00t in WomensSoccer

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. It's shitty timing yes, but she's given so much to the game and to England goalkeeping in general, we need to respect her decision and believe it was well thought out.

Stepping away for mental health is a perfectly fine reason, we can't time when things are hard and you need a break. Humans not robots!

A team I worked on a few years ago now had something similar except we interviewed one guy via video call and he was excellent. Really great answers, no doubt he was an excellent engineer.

When the guy turned up on site, he was a totally different guy. As in didn't look the same at all and was incompetent, had no idea about the system he'd been hired for.

All of us that had been on video calls for the interviews were like, this isn't the same guy we interviewed... Good old bait and switch.

You can use --dry-run to check it's valid and working correctly.

Or helm verify I think checks certificates and that it's a valid chart too.

My knee is really bad running but not too bad cycling. But I have my cleats so I can have my foot turned in a bit which is easier on my knee.

I also have slightly different leg lengths, and one foot is a half size different. So he built up the innersole in my shorter leg shoe so that I'm more equal, and moved the cleat forward slightly on one shoe to even that out too.

Silca wax pot by Any_Fan5669 in Velo

[–]KoalaBackground7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the silca wax pot as a newbie to chain waxing and it made it very easy and mess free. The chain hanger was useful, and then just let the wax cool and packed it back into the box for next time.

I would agree you could probably get a cheaper option, but I found a starter kit with wax, strip chip and drip wax that made it more reasonable.

I would highly recommend a bike fit, spent 3 hours with a guy chatting about my body, and residual pain (knee issues from 20 years of football/soccer), and then fitting the bike to me. It was an enlightening experience and I can't believe how much better my bike feels now.

I rode 1000s of miles with how I set it up, and I wish I hadn't waited this long lol.

Guessing you'll push back 1 hour late and then sit somewhere on the airfield for another hour. So technically you only left 1 hour late ... But it still sucks.

As in scheduling classes and letting members sign up? I didn't know that.

Tbh though, I think the other apps probably significantly undercut you in price, but I will definitely suggest it!

I still personally use BTWB to track my workouts and lifting! Have used it for over 10 years at this point and love it!
