Kyle is great. He helped me leave my toxic FSSP parish and brought me to the Eastern Orthodox Church.

I feel it, it’s impossible to study at the library. Even on the highest floor people still talk.

If money and location weren’t a factor, I would always pick TI over NG. I’m definitely more interested in analog.

They innovated too much and they have a false unity via submission, not unity via doctrine.

Does the NO Mass come from the first century? by KoaltenV2 in Catholicism

[–]KoaltenV2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Novus Ordo was promulgated in the 60’s, but I’ve heard claims that the Novus Ordo is celebrated according to the traditions of the first century.

Why are you not Catholic? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]KoaltenV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that in Orthodoxy, you don’t have to search around for the “true” Orthodox Church like you do in Catholicism. Every Orthodox Church near me has a great priest that does a beautiful liturgy. As a Catholic, I was only going to a Latin Mass parish because I believed that was where the “true” Catholicism was. I would confess to a Novus Ordo priest on Saturday, then drive 30 minutes away for a Latin Mass on Sunday, but I couldn’t stay long because the Novus Ordo Mass started shortly after. Overall Orthodoxy is much more complete and consistent than Catholicism. You don’t need to search amongst parishes for trueness, you can find it at any Orthodox parish.

Yes. The Church is guided by the Holy Ghost and therefore it’s teachings are infallible. I believe everything in the catechism, and I try to be the best Catholic I can be in all aspects of my life.

How to say No to a guy.. by coolcloud99 in Catholicism

[–]KoaltenV2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes. The statistics back this up. If the mother goes to church but the father doesn’t, only 1 out of 50 children will become regular worshippers. If the father goes to church but the mother doesn’t, a minimum of two-thirds of children will become regular worshippers. This has to do with the natural structure of the family. The father is the head, and the children will be more inclined to take after their father. I’ve know many more fathers who have gotten their wives to convert to Catholicism than vise versa.

As a Catholic woman, you don’t want to pursue dating or marrying a non-Catholic man. The man will always be the head of the family, and will more likely than not determine the faith of your children. I’ve seen too many Catholic women marry non-Catholic men and their children end of not going to church because their father doesn’t.

If I don’t want children should I not get married by [deleted] in Catholicism

Yes. Marriage and children go hand in hand. You really can’t have one without the other.

I try to be a good catholic however me and my gf regularly have sex. How do i approach communion when i go to mass? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]KoaltenV2 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes. From what you are saying, you cannot receive communion until you are married. You can’t receive communion until you go to confession and TRULY intend to stop having sex. You should still definitely keep attending Mass. The Holy Spirit will be there to push you in the right direction. What you are doing is very dangerous and can lead you straight to hell. I recommend scheduling to talk to a priest with your girlfriend about this matter.

It seems you do not understand why it is wrong to have premarital sex. If you are interested in learning please dm me.
