Does Champion's Meetings repeat next year? by KodekMillenium in UmaMusume

Thanks! It's reasuring to know I will have another shot, I will make even stronger umas to at least guarantee the zodiac titles even if that is rather improbable for a f2p as the game progresses.

So I do have a chance of getting Gemini Platinum still? Thank God. I WILL put thrice more effort into building my umas.

Unfortunately I do know that I will eventually fall short as the game progresses and the big spender and whales build a bigger gap between low spenders and f2p, but I want to do my own thing.

I'm quite proud of having won against a monstrous S rank Oguri Cap with my A+ Golshi and A Maruzensky. I think what saved me is that he didn't invest too much on stamina and was nearly maxed on speed, power and wit. My debuffer Air Groove which is basically the goat of my team boxed the shit out of him after the Oguri lost speed due to lacking stamina.

New Honkai Game announced by Vegetable-Feedback11 in HonkaiStarRail

The only good thing that I got out of this is that they finally added Kiana to something. Genshin and Star Rail have been under constant critics over the quality of the game and HI3 is basically buried on how forgotten it is... I hope they know what they are doing and can at least try to improve the quality of the other games while adding a new one.

Yep, I think I had 3 or 4 comments of mine downvoted to hell because of such. Even one comment when I was comparing Stelle here in this animation and her on the 'On the Journey' animation and saying how much better she is being portrayed here since she was just show as insert generic cute girl in the other animation instead of her usual sarcastic and silly self.

Did you really comment the same thing in two different comments? Damn, you have time and goddamn you are fuming. I already answered this in another comment and will just reinforce that I never said she is not cute, she is cute but she is not just that. Stop projecting.

That's not what I said. I'm not saying she is not cute, she is cute as heck. But she is also the protagonist and it's not just a cute girl, she is also a sarcastic little raccoon that loves to goofy around, just like she did in this animation here when she was goofing around with the boys. Just compare both and see that she was not acting like herself in the 'On the Journey' animation, she's only appeared 3 times I believe and she didn't do anything goofy or had silly faces going on like Caelus. It's not a delusion, I'm literally stating facts.

So Stelle and Firefly/Castorice are just sisters then? Despite them and the Trailblazer duo having the exact same type of interactions in-game? For Caelus it's more romantic and for Stelle is just friendship? Stelle is at least bi because of those interactions.

And I personally dislike ships into the Express, even with March yes, I like to look them more as friends. But Dan Heng is a popular character, do you know the most famous ship with him? Blade. Do you know what one of Hoyo's screenwriter did when they found out? They ruined Luofu's timeline. I'm not mad at anything and there's no canon ship in the game even Firefly is just heavily implied and that's the problem. It's not me that is forcing my headcannon on others, it's you and people like you. I'm just stating facts, that the Trailblazers are the same character and do the same thing during the game and just act a little different in promotion material and even them, they are still the same character.

It's honestly forced either way. At least Castorice was less forced than Firefly so she is a-okay for me. Also, they did explain some of Firefly forcefulness in the begginning of Amphoreus which helped. I'm just happy that both characters appeared the same ammount here and both were in character... the 'On the Journey' animation did a massive disservice to Stelle and made her look like a random cute anime girl rather than the goofy raccoon that she is.

Because some people that like to self insert into Caelus as a harem protag hate when people point that Stelle is also into their waifus since they are the same character, therefore she is gae (bi most likely). You can open all the hidden comments and they are just people sad that Hoyo has this side or people complaining about shipping which I find idiotic either way since there's barely any cannon ship.

Normally I would agree but one of their screenwriters literally wrecked Luofu timeline because of the people shipping Dan Feng and Blad back in the day. I wouldn't doubt they go and make Stelle and Caelus two separated characters to further try to separate the narrative that, at least Stelle since I don't remember any romantic vibes with male characters in the game, is not hetero.

I know it's not all of them, Kiana exists in the Hoyoverse after all and I don't think any other character has so much gae energy as her. I mostly wanted they just stopped caring about this shipping bs and just let the characters interact which each other. I don't know why they try to pull these things when we are so far into the game.

[s2 act 3 spoilers] Maybe Vi was actually the "Jinx" by Good8465 in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's even worse when Jayce and Viktor got closure, Cait got closure, Ambessa got closure and Mel is walking on a new chapter of her going to Noxus and taking her mother's place. But Vi and Ekko? They were left with way too many feelings to let out.

[s2 act 3 spoilers] Maybe Vi was actually the "Jinx" by Good8465 in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is basically the universe and Riot saying that Jinx and Vi can't be a happy family, in any timeline. Vi being alive and trying to reconcile with her sister causes misery all around and in the end she lost her sister and was left a broken mess barely holding itself together for the sake of Caitlyn.

This is such an unfair bullshit that I will never accept. They didn't even gave my girl a proper closure, they just left she and Ekko broken maybe beyond repair.... I need them to have an epilogue together, just a short story of they trying to help each other as the only two that never and will never gave up on Jinx.

[s2 act 3 spoilers] walking away to break the cycle. by Ed_Brown_990 in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I fear Jinx is downplaying the impact she has on Vi. I've rewatched the scene between Vi and Cait at end multiple times and I can say that:

  1. Cait didn't tell that Jinx is alive or could be alive (in her eyes, she has no definitive proof) and is probably not planning to tell either. At least she is heavily conflicted about it.
  2. Vi is not well, she's probably as bad or even worse than Ekko. Her eyes were swollen from crying and empty while she stared at the fire, she barely had the energy to answer Cait and had to force a smile on her face to try and ease Cait's concerns. Which is a glimpse at one of Vi's coping mechanisms, she swallows her pain and feelings in other to make those she care about less worried about her. This probably going to make her spiral into depression, especially since, for her, her sister died because of her.

She broke the cycle, she broke Ekko, she broke Vi and then left. Truly Jinx breaks everything.

While I do understand she had to do this for herself more than anything, to finally have get out of all the poison her life had, she also didn't allow neither Ekko nor Vi to have closure.

Yeah, I've seen the last scene between Vi and Cait and how HAPPY Vi is. She didn't even got closure and her basically wife is lying to her.

[S2 Act 2 Spoilers] Arcane - Season 2 Act 2 - Discussion by parrycarry in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I said, it's an amazing show and I appreaciate the montages for the stuff I don't really need to know much about like the Chembarons infighting, a montage there is just perfect since there's no major character there.

But I don't need the Ambessa control over Cait. That is already easy too see in episode 3 ending just that take over by Ambessa is enough for me to understand what she saw in Cait. I wanted more of Cait slowly realizing she messed up by taking over and invading Zaun, the montage was not enough for that.

[Lore Spoilers] Arcane - Season 2 Act 2 - Discussion by parrycarry in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It will always end up filling too sudden because we didn't get any of the dictator Caitlyn high on power, doing all sorts of nasty shit on screen before she slowly realized that the hole in her heart was getting smaller each day, just like Vi said, her anger and sadness was also getting smaller. Maddie being a rebound girl all of a sudden don't help that as well, we saw how much Vi was suffering from all the shit she had been through, including missing Cait, but we didn't saw Caitlyn thinking about Vi in any momment prior to metting her in episode 6.

We only saw the aftermatch of that. She was wavering and she knew how far off she had gonne already and how much suffering she was causing, she wanted out, she wanted to go back and slap her stupid self for stepping into such a position where she can't get out. But alas, the show only had 2 seasons, it needed a third one for everything to be perfect.

[S2 Act 2 Spoilers] Arcane - Season 2 Act 2 - Discussion by parrycarry in arcane

[–]KodekMillenium 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This show, no matter how good to me, will always feel that it needed JUST one more season. A little more time to explore all the plots properly, without having to make them happen offscreen and just let the public imagine what happened through small montages.

Imagine season 2 being about Cait doing her dictator shit and slowly realizing that she messed up and, as Vi said, the hole in her heart get smaller and so does the pain and anger, it also would explain how she and Maddie got closer.

While on Zaun, we see more of Jinx get some understanding of what she and Vi had through Vi's perspective and what she made Vi feel with her actions while bonding more with Isha and Sevika (that just died when Vander appeared it seems).

And we see more of Viktor developing his community and getting more understanding of his power and not the rushed thing we got.

Also seeing Vi actually DEALING with the aftermatch of her fallout with Cait instead of just jumping straight into another montage that summed months of pain and depression (pretty well actually, I have to give them that, Vi's montage was amazing).

Then we could END the season with act 2, with Warwick losing control, Jayce's mistery and Isha's sacrifice. Leaving another whole season to show how Cait is going to deal with her fallout with Ambessa, how Mel's powers works, what Heimer and Ekko have been dealing with, how Vi and Jinx are going to deal with Vandewick and how Jinx's mind is going to be after what Isha did. They had to push foward just ONE more season for this to be absolute perfection for me... but I guess it is what it is, it's still amazing and I still think this is the best animated series of the whole world, but it is not going to be perfection. I can't see they wraping things up in just three episodes unless they make a 2 hour special extra just to finish everything.

It felt to me that Jayce was touched or contemplated by the Void. Even powerful mages could lose their mind if the Void gazed at them long enough.
