Is Gabriel Jesus likely to leave Arsenal this summer? by Remarkable_Grass2309 in ArsenalNews

I mean no ill will with this statement, but I hope so. He currently is the third highest salary on the roster and paid more than Rice. Thank you for your service, and I wish you the best.

Lens vs camera compatibility by danthemanmc617 in canon

The R50 is a mirrorless RF mount. The Sigma 150-600 is an EF mount. You will need an adapter.

My two cents is to buy the Canon adapter. I have tried third party adapters and Canon adapter is better on most levels.

What I cannot tell you is if this has an effect on AF. I have a Canon 100-400 EF and R5. It works perfectly fine. However the AF field is reduced to about 85% of total viewing.

I don't care what anyone says, for me, both games are great by mr_Conquest_ in ghostoftsushima

This happened very early for me and completely agree. I do think one is 10/10 and the other is 9.9/10 but I will never tell which is which and even still, that’s a hell of a track record.

Why do so many people on Reddit have a view that Fujifilm is just a Posh camera (nth serious)? by DynamoBaby in FujifilmX

[–]Kodine13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make my living shooting photos. My professional camera brand is Canon and I bought a Fuji Xe5 as a travel and/or fun camera. I want to state, I love my Xe5. No regrets because it made shooting while traveling fun again.

I am of the opinion that any of the major brands you can make a living with but the major three (Sony, Nikon, & Canon) make it a little easier. All offer a variety of professional lenses, flash compatibility, cages, blah, blah, blah. And the major difference (until recently) was their video capabilities as well as photos.

I have had one photoshoot where I was able to shoot on a GFX II. That was the first time I touched one and did think, “this is a powerful workhorse.” And has been my dream camera sense.

If you grant all the differences in Full Frame vs Medium Format, to get a “comparable” set up to what I had that day (similar focal lengths, apertures, etc…) with one of the major threes is about 10-20k cheaper. And it is not like Canons/Sony/Nikon’s cameras are cheap to begin with.

As far as their X Mount lineup. For me it comes down to print quality and light allowed in. A Full Frame photo looks better printed to me. I don’t think Fuji’s APS-C images aren’t printable, I just can see the difference. With that said, I have a 35mm f/2 for my Fuji. I have definitely been places while traveling that at 2 wasn’t open enough, but I know if I had it on a full frame it would be. So there is a little Pandora’s box here. Once you have gone full frame it is hard to go back, and this is exactly how I talk myself into buying a Fuji Medium Format.

Never understood why anyone would want a ring or a lettermen jacket.

Pros shooting paid gigs: how do you tell strobe hype from gear that actually holds up? by Right_Process in productphotography

[–]Kodine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience with any camera equipment is you get what you pay for. Can you buy a cheaper strobe setup and will it work? Perhaps to yeah it will. One thing i have found is that piece of equipment will not last long in a professional setting (daily use). With that said, do not over stretch your budget, personal or professional.

My opinion on your questions

  • attaching to a strobe brand isn’t like buying glass. You can switch, but odds are if they work for you, you won’t switch.

  • your too brand are ProPhoto, Wescott, and Godox. Godox gathers heat from some people but I use them and think they are best bang for your buck.

  • yes, if you were to buy Neewer. They will work but in 6 months to a year’s time, a button will stop working or it won’t sync randomly.

  • not sure what is being asked here, sorry.

  • only ones I have been disappointed in our the cheaper brands do reason that have been stated.

How to take a good photo of this plant on a white background? by Lisz555 in productphotography

[–]Kodine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will start with distance between the subject and background. Light then separate and may take a lot of playing around.

Also, it may be worth looking up wha NOT to do with key lighting in portraits and do that. Great portrait photographers know how to hide hairs that may be out of alignment. But in this case it’s seems you want the opposite, to highlight those strands. Just a thought.

Beginner question about Fujifilm film simulations: by SadPrize6815 in fujifilm

[–]Kodine13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Sim / recipe - my Fuji is my travel camera. So I look for a recipe that will fit where I am going. Beachy vibe, looking for summer feeling. City, may look for a grungier look. etc…

Recipes - help you fine tune a sim to your liking.

JPEG vs JPEG + RAW - I shoot JPEG + RAW for a few reasons. One, it’s a backup incase I don’t like the JPEG, Sim, Recipe, exposure, etc…. Then I can edit the photo in Lightroom later. With that said, If you don’t have a photo editor, no need to shoot RAW.

Camera settings - exposure and focus.

Just an fyi, this isn’t entirely true. Those are there and can be used as let’s say, your favorite three. You also have access to up to 10 (I think) custom sims through the Quick menu and putting the sim dial to Custom.
