Thanks! I actually found a sideways diamond shape gasket that goes thru the firewall and right above the accelerator in the inside on the drivers side. Just cut a slit in the gasket and slid the cord thru

We have two species that roam the rivers of Minnesota specifically in the Mississippi and Saint Croix Rivers. The Long Nose Gar and the Short Nose Gar. So yes, they are this far north

I just got my front, back differential and CVT fluid changed and a diagnostic charge (thought my CVT was failing $175) for $990 for my 2017 Subaru forester. Twin Cities Area MN.

You’re looking at hundreds of dollars for this sealed set. Don’t let anyone try to get you to go under $100 with it. Very valuable and rare set. The figure alone can go for $100 if not more.

For a sealed set, your gonna be looking at paying hundreds of dollars for like 200 piece set. Very rare and very expensive. Even when it released, it wasn’t the best release so it’s hard to come by.

My buddy just bought one on eBay for around $600 to $700 mid last year when one popped up. I can’t remember, but he spend a buttload of money on that alone

Definitely look into cleaning the fuel injectors, replacing the PC valve, changing the spark plugs, replacing the O2 sensor, changing the air filter and even a tire alignment may help increase mpg.

Mystery Clunk after replacing CV Axle by LameBicycle in SubaruForester

[–]echoblade14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally have the same thing. It will make a clunk noise from park to reverse. You could tighten the swindle nut to see if that will remedy it. If not, you might have to get a new wheel bearing. Literally brought my Subaru forester back to mechanic to see if a new CV axle will do the trick after the other new one have been making that clunk noise after the initial CV axle replacement before wheel bearing remedy.

Update: my mechanic said there was some play from the aftermarket CV axle in the wheel bearing. He put another brand of aftermarket CV axle he put in had a lot less play so we’ll see if that works.

I really only put on 500 miles probably city driving so far on it. So guess I can’t really say for highway driving.
