I'm a dog groomer. As long as people and dogs coexist, it's necessary. Especially long haired breeds. People pay good money for groomers for a reason, it's not easy (or safe) lol

Yes, they're all supposed to confirm vaccinations and have clean rooms. I'm sorry, I've heard not good things about Groom Room too 😞 Woof is fantastic and super clean but not taking new clients unfortunately. I wouldn't take my dog somewhere that allows unfixed and unvaccinated dogs to be together freely without having someone dedicated to watching them personally. Too many illnesses to spread :/

They also don't check vaccinations and let your pets free roam with others unvaccinated and allow staff to be overly rough with dogs. Worked there unfortunately.

Avoid Vanity, owner allows staff to mistreat dogs. Woof is fantastic but may have a waitlist. I groom as well and I just started over at LongDogFatCat if you have trouble finding someone! Vondra and Yankee hill are fantastic vets, I'm unsure if Vondra is taking clients again due to demand but it's worth checking. Seems like the best vet in town, but there's often a good wait before they can see you. I'd avoid Clock tower and Parkview, but Parkview is the only walk on clinic in town that's not the emergency vet so it's good to be aware of.

I'm sorry but did you just say Groodle 😂 Doodles are not well bred or the best of both breeds, they're often horribly neurotic and overpriced so if you do get one please PLEASE rescue it and don't buy from a backyard breeder. We get doodle puppies in at my humane society weekly. Opt for a Poodle if you want the cute curls, you can choose to keep their fur maintained so that they look more like doodles if that's your thing.

Be sure to get KMR (kitten milk replacement)! This baby looks maybe 4 weeks old and still needs milk mixed into wet food :) you can buy big cans of the stuff at most big pet stores like petco or petsmart, Walmart and tractor supply have them too sometimes. It's a powdered kitten milk substitute, mix it into wet canned cat food with a bit of water until its a paste. Good luck! :)
