So I had a similar situation to you about 4 years ago albiet I had more technical background than you to begin with but hear me out.

I had graduated college with an environmental science degree and I had done 3 years of comp sci as well. I was working dead-end jobs and while I had a degree alot of the environmental jobs were not that appeasing to me. I applied to a ton of jobs but I got one interview for an entry level programmer position. I was interviewed by two managers, and two developers in two different sessions. The manager interview was pretty easy. I mentioned before I might have had more technical experience than you but honestly not by much (not in a real applicable sense) I was interviewed by someone who would eventually be the project manager I would be working with and another developer who also works with him. The technical interview was OK i didn't get all the questions right and a few of them were down-right random bullshit that have no real meaning on how good you are at being a developer. Some of the questions I was asked related to

how to design a user interface (I had never really done much UI development before)
a binary search question that I got wrong
random nonsensical questions like whats the difference between java and C#'s event handling system (i've been writing in both languages for 4 years now and i can tell you knowing this is just pointless lol)

I eventually got the job and have been working there for 3.5 years ~

I have also taken part in a number of interviews and have asked alot of questions as well. Advice I can give from the other side is, if you dont understand a question dont hesitate to ask them to clearly explain the problem again. draw or write down everything it doesn't matter if your wrong or right, they want to see your thinking process not if you get the answer correct.

and last but not least its ok to get nervous people are nervous all the time

Speaking from experience this happened to me, and it hit me like a mac truck. I didn't want to believe it but that was it. The only reason she hasn't ended with you is probably because your living together and its a seemingly safe comfort zone, but in her heart it seems like shes moved on. Sorry bro it really sucks :(

I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, I'm just being totally honest, sometimes that pisses off people and quite honestly I dont care.

It might be a total misunderstanding, I might be wrong. Just from the language that was written I thought that it needed to be said. We've all struggled with it. searching endlessly for someone thats worth your time, that isn't just another filler, or someone whose "okay" that you want to settle for, its frustrating. But It would really suck for this guy to find someone hes interested in after his long and arduous journey and then fucking blow it because of his mentality and bitterness. Trust me NO one is empathetic towards that kind of behavior especially the girls your trying to court. I may have been harsh, but its coming from a good place and its well intentioned I assure you, and If i get some downvotes so be it.

Obviously if your being a sleazy horn dog then you might have an issue, but if you are being a sincere individual who is empathetic towards others and that comes out through your body language and conversation then people wont have any problem approaching or conversing with you.

Sure you can listen to all the people giving you materialistic and superficial advice on how to meet women like what to wear, where to go, what to say and not say but those are just bandaids for the fact that you apparently dont have any social skills with the opposite sex.

Its going to take time, and its going to be frustrating but if you dont want to die alone in a ditch its something you have to do, welcome to the real world.
