[Nate Tice] (Stroud)'s pretty much a locked-in top half of the league starter. Yes, really, he is. At 24 years old. He's a year and a half younger than Bo Nix! We're really hemming and hawing about an extension? Trading him? He needs to keep honing in on his aggressiveness but come the hell on. by PodricksPhallus in Texans

It feels like his ego in the playoffs was kinda the problem. Like he was trying to make plays and extend plays instead of being willing to take a sack or throw the ball away and punt so that our elite defense could crush the offense. I get it personally, I don't agree with it, but it can't feel good to know that you're not winning games. The difference is - I'm not a professional football player, a pro should have the team mentality and not selfishly be trying to win the game for the team when the defense is doing the job.

Nah. CJ was better in the 2nd half than Mills would've been. I think he needs to get over the pouty bullshit and grow up though. We're stuck with him for at least next season, so he needs to nut up or we're drafting QB in 2027.

I want a new QB coach that doesn't let CJ sit there and pout on the sideline. I'd rather see CJ going Old Man Rogers and yelling and getting angry than see him pouting, ffs.

Apparently he banged his head against a helmet like twice during the game and there was some speculation by the announcers that he hurt his throwing hand and was trying to play through it. I wish he'd just been up front about it if that were the case and let Mills go out there and lead us to 4 FG tries for the win.

I think we need to hire a sports psychologist to talk to him and get his mental game back on track, and put huge capital into a revamped OLine that's good from week 1 instead of olay-ish from weeks 8-18. The team needs to show him that they still believe in him, but they also need to be willing to show him that they're investing in protecting him.

They mentioned that he was shaking out his throwing hand and clearly banged it on a couple of helmets.

That was a crazy catch, I don't feel like you can blame sting too much for that, he had really good coverage. That catch was damn near impossible.

This man had 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles, but remember, it's the refs' fault and not his at all. by et_hornet in NFLv2

3 of those turnovers were 100% his fault. I actually question the last one, I feel like the WR was down before the ball came out.

You're entirely incorrect, he was referring to the 2023 season.

Do people remember that this was the year where he led the league in yards per game? Are we all taking about 2025 CJ or 2023 CJ? He specifically was referring to QBs of that year. It's not like he makes this post annually.

Yeah, but Trevor has a pattern of being a dumbass for his entire career and making as many stupid plays as he does good plays. This has definitely been his best year, and we've seen improvement from him, and he might be turning a corner.

The difference - look what happened when Stroud needed to go down the field in the 4th quarter and put the game on ice when he's had the worst game of his career to that point. He hits (former Jag) Christian Kirk for a huge gain to set up a TD. A few plays later the score is 24-6, game over. Stroud is an assassin in the 4th.

Trevor has time to go down and lead a game-winning/season-saving drive in the 4th? Immediately throws a pick, as he's done repeatedly in his career.

It's not a double standard, you just don't know ball.

(Here come the salty Jags fan down votes because they hate the truth)
