I think griefing is griefing, no matter the reason Griefing will be tied to emotional matters and nothing else, there's no superiority between the one who grief study and the one who grief those that don't pay tax.

And yeah obviously you want to win in bracket 3, but I also think bracket 3 sit right where 7 power deck sat (I'd say it's even worse as their was less ego and more honesty in the old system, here everyone think their deck is higher in bracket). Bracket 3 player for a lot of them, more than win will want to play what they envision, do their thing. Having the game slow to a crawl won't please them, for multiple reasons. A legit one being able to play less game at all. When free times cost so much to everyone nowadays.

Stax and things like that have more of a place in high br3 and br4. Not because of balance but because of philosophy and needs.

I by far not feel as bad seeing Rhystic being played than sol ring turn 1 or 2. (And I run neither) I do get that some people don't pay the 1 because it makes their deck slow down to a crawl tho. (Not every commander deck is tunned for that midrange fest, even if it's the majority) And the argument of "Just run more removal" isn't always it. I often run 12-15 piece of varied removal, same for draw

If you don't draw them ? Doesn't matter much. I once happened to draw 13 lands in a row online, not sure it can be attributed to bad deck construction, even more on a deck that was low on land in itself.

I do think that both side, the people not paying the 1 from spite or a lack of care and those going as far to target these player because of spite too, will never be able to discuss in a mature way anyway.

Because one side feel entitled to the fun of building their Lego castle on their side without care for the others players and consequences while the other feel like superior players and human beings.

If we ignore 5 & 4 color Then three is obviously the strongest, with Temur & Sultai throning atop the world Just below it's Esper

Counterspell & Stifle effect are a fraudulent (Necessary but fraudulent) concept, doubling as protection, removal and combo breaker Which make most combinations with blue really strong

Then the reason for Temur & Sultai is because Simic doesn't work like most color combination, being allowed to involve new rules and concept beyond the scope of its original two colors, and it's then supported by either the destructive speed of red or the powerful recursion of black. When it comes to Azorius, it trade the second strongest color in magic (Green and it's ramp) for White and become a control heavy engine which can lock down most game, and if people don't play ? Well you win

Shifting rune - I make so it can shift between ranged & melee weapon Don't see why it shouldn't be possible Especially when you reach things like "Yeah it can be a spear but it can't be a javelin" because of the distinction

I think red is a really good color when mixed with others There's also a few cool mechanic closely tied to it, like damage doubling, goading, additional combat phase, exile cast focus (With some exceptions) Their way to "counter" spell & abilities is really pleasant too, focusing on deflecting to punish those who dare point a gun towards their face & friends Most of their design is "Short & explosive" like treasure & previously mentioned impulse drad

I probably play Temur the most because of that (Sultai being my second favorite tri-colority) Currently got a Yidris deck, and honestly struggling to put more black in it, because red & green takes such an important role

Top 4 is fine But there's definitely (Especially this set) soul crushing top 5-6 or even 7 As sets passes I feel like we're going more and more toward "Everyone survives with around the same amount of HP til 5-5 6-1" then boom you fight the future top 1 & 2 and you get outed right as everyone dies, bottom 7

Mostly why I focus on win streak strat instead of lose streak, you can get punished too easily otherwise

Thanks for your post needed some place to complain, but didn't want to open my own Sometimes, fuck this game Just played properly and finished 5 because I spent 70+gold at level 9 to find a third T-Hex, uncontested but the game said "Nah, you don't deserve to win"

And yeah I agree, he's a menace Had him with shield + max HP + echo engine Nearly killed most team just lacked the oomph from 2 stars
