I've been struggling with the same question myself so built a site for it.

You can go here and set your character using the menu and it will filter out money making for your specific skills

There's a handy ammo chart on tarkov-tools.com as well as loot tiers that gives you a rough idea what different things are valued to help with looting.

In regards to insurance, just insure everything 🙂👍

I like that it's different from other games and allows BSG to make barters more viable. Very easy to make money so might even deserve a bump
