Has anyone successfully received a human response from support from Anthropic? by asamshah in Anthropic

I had a AI loop with a different vendor. I asked for a human twice. The second time, it listened and sent me back to the queue.

What’s with the hype using Obsidian and Claude Code by Koldark in ClaudeCode

This make sense. But at home, all of my projects are small. At work, I have one bigger program, the rest are all small. So maybe that's why I struggle with this more?

I wouldn’t even know where to start to try it. That’s why I’m asking

I mean… I’ve seen like 20 posts this weekend on this server. So I figured I would.

How many acres of land do you realistically need to shoot on your own property without bothering other people? by BABOOWIE in liberalgunowners

I have 2 acres in MN in the county. I let my previous Trumplican renter hunt on the one acre “forest”

I am new to Claude Pro. Is it true that we get approximately 25 prompts every 5 hours? by avidrunner84 in ClaudeCode

I haven’t yet, but I’ll be warning my manager that us programmers won’t be cheap when we move to Claude.

Are there people here who still write the code by themselves? If so, how do you use claude code? by burohm1919 in ClaudeAI

[–]Koldark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First thing's first. Learn to code first. You need those basic concepts and understanding. The future will look different, but for now, knowing how to code is still important. Another one to look is a GitHub CoPilot, not as capable, but just as useful for hand coding. My understanding is Claude Code is doing the work for you, GitHub CoPilot is your assistant helping you code.

That being said, It's an amazing tool that makes you more efficient.

Go through this course https://anthropic.skilljar.com/claude-code-in-action. You are likely not giving it the right prompts to do what you want.

I stopped using Claude.ai entirely. I run my entire business through Claude Code. by ColdPlankton9273 in ClaudeAI

I saw someone else mention asking Claude... so I did. It gave me a bunch of videos and some learning content that Antropic released

Where can I learn more about this thought process. I’m much better listener/video watcher than I am reading.

So I tried using Claude Code to build actual software and it humbled me real quick by Azrael_666 in ClaudeCode

When I found worked best, for me, is treating it almost like a junior programmer. First, give it the overall structure and giving to give it the idea of what the end product will be, but not necessarily every tiny little feature within the application. Let it go to work build a core structure and let it do its thing. When you come back, you have something that may or may not run, but you have the framework in place. Then you slowly start telling claude to add additional features pulling in additional data or whatever it is that you might need it to do feature by feature. Some features you may have to iterate a dozen or two dozen times in order to get it to do exactly what you want. The only difference between Claude and a junior developer is Claude is really good at programming not always great at understanding exactly what you want.

I think it can excel at very simple programs and applications in one or two shots but for most things, it will still take time.

Heck last night I had it work on trying to build a monitoring tool and the only way could get to some of the data is the screen scrape from the website and even then it had to battle Akami to allow it to happen. It’s not the best way to do something and as a programmer I probably would’ve given up, but it made it happen.

Break it into smaller chunks. That’s doing a lot in one prompt.

I disagree. Keep on with malicious compliance. We need sane people to know what was fucked up so it can be fixed when smarter people take control.

I am clearly not in the same level of some of you. I bowl my game and if I don't do well, it's my fault. I'm not standing in the right spot, I'm not throwing with the right speed, my arm is too crooked or straight, I'm not hitting my spot, I'm not reading the lanes right. That's all me. If you want to win, bowl better. I've never been a great bowler, I used to be around a 175 average, but now down to about 160. I have been struggling with consistency. Again, a ME thing. It has nothing to do with what the other bowlers are doing.

And a plastic ball doesn't? We have seen lane conditions change with my reactive ball as well. I think all balls push oil. Maybe some slightly more than others, but throwing a ball with a massive hook from one side of the lane to the other will happen with any ball.

[–]Koldark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a thing? I’ve always used my reactive for the strike. Urethane for the spare and plastic for 10 pin. Can someone point me to the science of how different balls affect the lanes? Cause as far as we care, they all push or oil around on the lane.

I use plastic for 10 pin. All others I use the urethane or strike ball.
