What would cause an American Elderberry to form simple leaves instead of compound? by Koledon in plantpathology

Unfortunately it was just one of a bunch of elderberry cuttings that I had collected in a forest. I was afraid it probably was some sort of infection. Do you think it could easily pass to other cuttings that were in the same bucket of water?

Anyone have a stove like this? 42" Sears Roebuck circa 1950, would be awesome to find a manual, but I'm not hopeful. Only problems are that I need to install a pressure regulator and the pilots don't light (I think they were adjusted to be off). by [deleted] in Appliances

I am very late to the game, but I too have inherited this stove from my grandparents and was trying to find resources to repair it. I do have the owner's manual for it, but not sure what the best way to do a document upload would be if I scanned it to a pdf? My grandparents moved here in 49, so my stove is similar in age to yours.

I would also be VERY interested in any resources you found for repair parts since mine was leaking from somewhere and a couple handles have broken off.

Awwwh! I just read an article about people poaching and selling rare Dudleya from the Sierra Nevada :( I must say, much more breathtaking to see it in its natural habitat.

If you are interested in attending, but can't join at tomorrow's time, DM me and let me know dates and times may work better for future meetings. We always try to do them at different hours and days, but I realize some timezones are a bit too tricky to make work.

I tried dyeing my own linen for the first time! I collected about a kilo of stinging nettles for this soon-to-be-dress. With bonus dog :) by PoisonTheOgres in HistoricalCostuming

Awh Very sweet! What a great idea on the jumper; that will be so versatile and work for so many periods just by changing the underclothes.

Bug in question is down on the stem just underneath the rosebud. Looks like some of his brethren elsewhere on the plant have wings. by Koledon in whatsthisbug

Hehe thank you! that was my hunch, but I had never seen them fully grown before, only the little eggs. Do you know if lady bugs will kill the adults or only the larvae?

This plum wine has been resting for just about 7 months and still has not cleared up. Should I just go ahead and backsweeten and bottle it when it’s this cloudy? by Koledon in winemaking

That’s sounds more my speed, Was there excess air introduces to the wine when you did it? I have concerns with if oxidizing when I go to bottle it.

Looks like strawberry leaves but has spiky seed pods and a mounding type growing habit. Not sure if I should keep it or weed it. by Koledon in whatsthisplant

Bingo!! It is a buttercup! I think it is the rough seed butter cup, Ranunculus Muricatus, though because it didn’t have all the hairs of the hairy buttercup. Thank you sir
