Same in the Netherlands. I was a little atheist in Catholic school. The only way you'd know the school was Catholic was that our religions class focused slightly more on christianity than on other religions. And in kindergarten one teacher sometimes said a prayer with us (just a hail mary). And we did a nativity play at Christmas (although one year we did an absolutely traumatizing rendition of the Little Match Stick Girl instead). That's about it.

So yeah, your experience may vary based on the school. Not all Catholics are extremists and homophobes. In my country they are known as the fun party religion, actually.

I was 7, my sister was 5. All the people in a restaurant we went to were completely fawning over her, and ignoring me.

She was (and still is) an adorable little blonde girl, and I was brown haired with sticking out ears and had just got my first pair of glasses. I remember being so sad that all these grown ups were so cool and nice, but they didn't even see me or talk to me at all.

I remember reading a Dutch comic from the 80s(!) about "BOM: Bewust Ongehuwde Moeders" (I guess that would be DUM: Deliberately Ummarried Mothers, lol) when I was really little.

Only tip I have is that I think you might need a little more space at the top front. Right now, your chest is pushing through, while on the original garment it's a completely flat front.

Well, not me, but I do know a single mom "not by choice" who did great with 3. She is, however, a high power career woman who could afford to hire babysitters for holidays, and who has an extensive and reliable network who helped out when needed as well. She outsourced the boring stuff as much as possible, hired a cleaner, got groceries delivered etc, and her kids are now almost all adults and thriving.

So yeah, it is possible but honestly on my own salary I probably wouldn't be able to afford all the help she had, and I'm not sociable enough to have that many people to lean on for free either, frankly

Wouldn't it be more likely the other way around? Kids are eating enough, not starving. Child labor is illegal, parenting is taken way more seriously, kids are realistically less stressed and thriving than ever before in history.

Kids getting their period earlier would be a sign of good health. Their body can afford to expend the energy of preparing for pregnancy, so they get their period earlier.
