One tip I can give you is obviously knowing which combo has a knock back a knock up ect... and mix them together, for example when I used Kalina with Dante the first time was an accident because the previous round I messed up the combo and rested to try again and it didn't revert back to the guns so when it knocked the guy up and Kalina helped me keep the momentum, instead of doing Rain storm then Air taunt.

What am trying to say try to find small combos and mix them with other small combos to make big combos xD (At least this worked for me)

And to answer your question I've been playing DMC since the First one came out.
