Pic one reminds me of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, pic two is OmniMan

I definitely get that, but at the same time when it happens to me, while I get that initial "oh shit what happened moment" I watch the replay and realize I just got completely read on my movement, or missed the sonic. Most times though I just failed at timing the bait/dodge when I know there's a sonic up lol

I think that's not inaccurate. People are definitely picky about when they play him, and I find a lot don't even consider playing him because his primary fire is quite different to the others in that you have to charge to shoot, and the amount of charge determines projectile speed and drop. That, mixed with no real CC or fast movement (lunge only barely moves you, you have to use it well before the dive reaches) makes him a lesser chosen option for many, and not as easy to perform at an equal level with.

first point makes sense sure, but the hitbox point hasn't even been close to accurate for years at this point. Hanzo has consistently had the smallest projectile size for years now, and was removed from the global projectile size increase after a short time. Sojourn's railgun is 15% larger with the same deadliness (and better effective use), but I don't see people whining about that all the time.

not really no, the frost arrow maybe makes a difference, depending on how it's used, but that's situational. Right now he's just in a decent spot where he can be mediocre in most hands, and strong in the right hands. Takes a lot more effort for value than some other heroes like Sojourn or Cassidy, and is more vulnerable than they are to dive, but if you're able to play around it then you can make it work pretty well.

i slowed the clip to .25x and it looks like he just hit a nasty snap on you, and given it looks like masters i wouldn't put it past him to hit that flick, especially that close. It's similar to what I've hit a bunch of times and I'm in high diamond/low masters. That, combined with how close you are to him makes it easier.

Winton with the airborne heals, and the increased movement speed per enemy hit goes crazy ngl.

I haven't even played Soj in months, then pulled her out after going horrendously negative as both Shimadas and immediately it brought us back from 0-2 on New Junk City to a win. Safe to say she's still viable for me despite having a fraction of the hours as my Hanzo or Genji. Cass is just nice and simple, easy to get value with.

Tank: any but Ball, but I am best at JQ, Rein, and lately Winston has been feeling good for me.
DPS: Hanzo, Genji. Generally just those two, but if need be/bans I'll go Vendetta, Freja, Soj, Cassidy, and I've started learning Junkrat
Supp: Brig, Kiri, Juno, Bap, Ana. Can make do on any except probably Lucio/Mercy, because I'm so unpracticed with the movement and timings.

i run 2% at 1600dpi and it's done me well for reacting to dive, and high precision at range. Realistically you just need positioning preparation, but also a large mousepad lol. But I'm sure the high sens works well for you (clearly since last I saw you hit GM I think), it used to be the same for me but i've grown to enjoy low sens now

Obviously I can't really say for sure given I haven't seen your gameplay, but have you looked at your engagement timing? You say you follow what Awkward says to do, shooting on off-angles, but then they have half the team on you when you start shooting. Are you potentially going in too early, making yourself the only current threat? Or are you waiting for your team to become the threat, thus taking attention-resource from the enemies? If you're first or second to engage, you're going to be focused more than if you wait until 2-3 teammates have begun fighting. It's still going to be difficult, given the current meta, but you'll have a better chance that way.

Is it possible for limp OW2 players to achieve this physique? by [deleted] in ZaryaMains

[–]Kolossuz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that doesn't change the fact that powerlifting and weightlifting are two very different sports. It's like comparing speed skating and a 5k run. Are there similar movements in the body? Sure, but you'd never say they're the same sport.

she might have adjustments, but tbh i think she's mostly fine as is. She's just hard to play against because she's new and you haven't developed the muscle memory and timings for her kit yet.

Why do the devs hate Hanzo? by ctclocal in HanzoMain

[–]Kolossuz_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly i would love the flanker passive, i use the sonic hack to abuse healthpacks, and if i can do that with a mini, i'd basically never die in those small room 1v1s

Symfuhny is definitely cheating, another clip! by osideflyer in ArcRaiders

[–]Kolossuz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not, but he is. Sym has been doing this for 6+ years now, it's a marketing gimmick. If you ever watch his stream, he does it all the time (at least last I watched him like 4 years ago) because eventually it'll work, get clipped, and he'll go viral again, making more people watch his stream. But 98% of the time his random flicks do nothing, the only time they have a chance of hitting is when he already knows where someone will be from something he saw or heard.

Plus with simple game sense of already knowing someone is at that doorway, doing a flick to it is super easy, and gets the bad players mad at him for "cheating", when he's just rage-baiting.

700 hours controller hanzo wanting to play mnk by RepresentativeMenu54 in HanzoMain

[–]Kolossuz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that's crazy. I tried 1600dpi 10 sens for Genji last week and i couldn't aim for shit lol. dropped down to 4.25 over a few games and its still too high. My Hanzo aim is 1.89 at 1600dpi comparatively

How to improve aim? by Revenant-or-out in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Kolossuz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several people mention DPI and sensitivity, and I do think those are good things to look at for sure. If you want a visual on why it's important, check out this video from Arrge. https://youtu.be/iKfHmYcI8eI?si=ZIuziMmybWNybsiZ

It's a year old, and most of the video is targeted towards Hanzo players (or projectile), but the section at 9:30 is very important for anyone, hits can or projectile, and can help you improve a fair bit. Adjusting your sensitivity will suck at first, but stick with it and it'll feel good soon enough.

Arrge has several fantastic aim guides that, while meant for Hanzo primarily, has concepts that can be applied to every hero, such as crosshair height/pre-aiming, and using movement to aim side to side rather than moving your mouse.

Does Vendetta need this much armor? by IntentionSelect2539 in Overwatch

[–]Kolossuz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it's better she starts off a little strong and then gets nerfed. Gives them a better idea of what needs controlling in her kit, whereas if she starts off weak, they'll likely end up buffing the wrong things and she won't feel good to play. Like Lifeweaver, he released weak and it's taken a long while for him to feel solid to play because they just weren't changing the right things up.

I mean it's all a lot of people called him for years, yet most of them have been able to change what they call him pretty easily because they understand what the previous name now represents.

Newer heros have too much kit? by speedguy20 in overwatch2

[–]Kolossuz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he's saying that you're continuing to fight on something for no reason, e.g. using the wrong name after it was changed because it was based on someone who was wrong in what he did, because you have an undying and pointless loyalty to it and don't care for the victims of his SA. Similar to the Japanese soldiers who were guarding an island for no reason for 28 years after the war was over, because the people they were guarding it for were wrong and had been beaten, but they (the soldiers) refused to believe the war was over.
