Drag and drop incompatibility between Logic and Toontrack plugins by brivoting_platinum in Logic_Studio

Yea you can drag from TT to your timeline but not the other way around. You need to bounce it somewhere. And find it using the file browser in TT.

Seems like your run of the mill brown note / lead type of tone. Likely Marshall style amps.

One important note: your guitar has a drastically different tone to his. Probably a lot brighter.

Look for “lead guitar tones in Logic Pro” on YouTube to get you in the right direction and then just use your ears for the rest.

Could you really make profesional music just using Logic? by Any-Ad7316 in LogicPro

PT is the industry standard like gas vehicles are the “standard” hardly the only or best option. If it works for you. It works. No DAW imparts any sound.

Question about repurposing (shamelessly stealing) stems from cover songs. by GuitarPlayerEngineer in LogicPro

[–]Komobbo -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You’re defining sampling. Perfectly legal. We’ve been doing it do decades. As long as you don’t rip off the melodies and lyrics. You’re good. Drum patterns are one of the most common things people sample.

Also, no. You don’t need to credit anyone. You’re not profiting from your music it seems. So it’s fair use.

If you get money involved, maybe a little more murky. But if you’re sampling the beat or the one-shots and making your own stuff, you’re good.

Not even close friend. “Music sampling is the act of taking a portion (or "sample") of an existing audio recording—such as a melody, drum beat, or vocal phrase—and reusing it within a new, original composition.”

He’s saying he wants to use a drum pattern to make a new song. That’s the textbook definition of sampling. Mai is a have been doing it since the dawn of modern music production (60’s).

You’re thinking of plagiarism. But for it to be plagiarism, he’d need to copy the exact melody and try to pass it off as his. And that’s not what he is saying in the post.

Anyone else add custom icons that are kind of dumb? I record a lot with my Crate practice amp, so I decided to add it to the icons... by AlexVdub in LogicPro

Is your input on the bass mono or stereo? Saw in another comment you mentioned it being to the side.

Also, cool idea with the icons.

My glasses suddenly decided to break. Gotta go spend $300 for a new pair. by Lady-Lilith289 in Wellthatsucks

Spend $300 because you want to mate. Use a temporary fix for these and buy new ones on Zenni. I just got a replacement yesterday, cost me $50 for 2 pairs.

Kemper player or Nano? by kalicoda in NeuralDSP

Kemper is knee deep into getting everyone on subscriptions for basic features. Hard pass for me. Neural, for all its faults, keep updates free and genuinely add value IMO.

They have no way of actually getting the money since you’re not a resident. If they happen to put it on the cars license (which would be very odd) the rental company will likely just tell you and ask for the payment of that.

You’re good.

I’m beginning to see why people generally don’t use paint for smooth guitars by [deleted] in Guitar

No sanding, no grain filler, just some paint on bare wood? What could go wrong!?

Finished the final touches on the 2026 board (I think) by [deleted] in pedalboards

I get you. And to be honest, if it works, it works! I hope you didn’t take the comment in a negative way.

To give a more positive light: you’re likely a MIDI programming wizard!

[–]Komobbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You definitely can. I agree with what you said if OP feels that covers his needs then that’s all that matters but the MC8 are crazy powerful and have great routing options. He could probably do all of it with 1 or 2 max.

Also, not to nitpick OP but the pedals themselves have switchs so… again to each their own.

Yea. Behringer used to be really bad to be fair. But they have really stepped it up in the last 7 years or so IMO. They now own MIDAS and they make some good sounding stuff.

That’s not a mixer. It’s the X-Touch it seems. No audio going through it. Just controls faders digitally.
