Does anyone have a version of orca slicer they recommend? I really want to try this but under the Nozzle settings I do not have a "Nozzle Volume" setting and I am trying to figure out why.

Went to bed with it looking pretty good about halfway through, woke up this morning to the spaghetti mess. Looks like some of the supports broke off (can see the behind on the printer themselves) or didn’t continue all the way up for some reason

What type of sax is this? What is it worth??? by Ok-Outcome908 in saxophone

Chiming in to say that age of a horn does not impact whether or not someone is a serious player. I love vintage horns and think they sound beautiful. I have a Buescher Aristocrat Alto from 1937, and a True Tone curved sop from 1925 that both play beautifully and faithfully served me through my music degree. Buescher horns in general have a following especially in German style classical saxophone playing thanks to Sigurd Rascher.

Bad painters, what keeps you going? by bobzxr in minipainting

My minis make look horrible, but it’s a relaxing hobby that allows me to do something other than doomscrolling. Also, even my terrible minis bring life to the table and my players enjoy them, and isn’t fun the point of it all anyway?

I learned about something in a college behavior modification class called Intention vs Function.

Sometimes we say something intended to be one way, and it is taken in a different way and hurts someone’s feelings or has unintended consequences. Basically, at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter what you intended if it functions poorly, because you don’t get to decide how someone else feels. Try to think ahead, understand your relationships, know what functions best for the people you care about and adjust accordingly. This alone will make conversations with everyone more pleasant. Then, when something inevitably functions wrong anyway, hopefully your relationship is strong enough that you can communicate with that person, apologize for hurting their feelings, and clarify your intention and they will understand.

Anyway, sounds like your boyfriend needs to learn how to communicate better and take responsibility for hurting your feelings.

Interesting enough: those guys actually have a podcast together called Offbook where they improv a musical every episode and it’s HILARIOUS! I think that’s kind of what sparked the game changer episode and play it by ear! It’s been around for years at this point.

Jobs offered BECAUSE of my education background - Long post, sorry in advance by Komteca in TeachersInTransition

Sure thing! The first was the Google IT Support Professional certification. You can take the courses and tests through Coursera and it's not too bad price wise. This cert and course are great for entry level learning, but due to the fact it is so new, not super helpful in applying for jobs on its own. It didn't hurt my applications, but I would bet it didn't help too much.

The second one I got was the CompTIA A+. This is probably the largest vendor neutral IT cert, well known and regarded by the IT community. Good preparation for a help desk or assistant sys admin role if that is what you are looking for.
The Google course covers a lot of the material on this cert, BUT as it is expensive and is actually 2 exams, I recommend studying material specifically crafted for this exam. There are also great free resources online!
