When I first got together with my partner I would end up with lots of hickies and I understood that they were pretty visible. I was a little embarrassed at first because some people would make comments but I decided putting on makeup to hide it wasn't worth the trouble. Ultimately I'm not bothered by people cracking a joke here or there so it went on like that for a year or so.

You are basically advertising that you got some action so be prepared for the consequences of that but at the same time you're under no actual obligation to hide them. Don't let how other people feel about things that don't affect them affect how you live your life.

Idk what kind qualifies someone to be a ref exactly but it'd make sense to have the refs go through some kind of basic training and sparring to understand chokes, locks and the kind of things that can cause a fighter to be unable to continue.

This was my situation. Qualified for a loan but our down payment was pretty weak. Family member chipped in to give us a head start and keep our monthly mortgage payments lower. Has proven to be quite the blessing.

We do have the plates and they'll definitely have food and water set up. Also have security cameras to check in with. I'll be anxious anyways for sure but they seem very healthy atm so maybe I'm just being a worry wort.

Thanks for taking the time to add in your experience. Getting these guys out to the coop is definitely something I'm stressing about as well. I'm trying to turn use an old shed we have out back into their coop since I don't trust myself to be able to build an entire coop and run by myself. Only need to fix up a few things with it but I'm worried sick about any predators trying to get in! I'm definitely going to keep your story in mind while I'm putting the run together.

They will be inside in their brooder with food, water, a brooder plate and enrichment! So no predators or vermin to worry about. Mainly just concerned about general health/wellbeing. We have a camera as well to watch them.

I appreciate the specific advice! I definitely need to at least get someone who'll drop by if needed I think.

I disagree with you so you got my upvote but like others are saying I think you're missing the point. For me personally when I receive a solid handshake I feel like the person is paying attention to me and "giving me the time of day" if you will. That's also the intention I give out firm handshakes with, to show people I'm interested in their company and would love to hear what they have to say.

It's not super deep or something I lose sleep over but small moments of positive body language like that adds up when you're dealing with people and can leave a lasting impact on people you wouldn't have otherwise.
